On November 13th, 2022, I lost my beloved dog Ollie, whom I always called “bug”, very suddenly and tragically. He was the best part of me. He came into my life during a very dark time and became my rock over the last 6 years. Ollie and I did everything together—car rides to college, road trips to the finger lakes, UTV rides, moves from apartment to houses, etc.
Life without Ollie just hits different. I always think, “could I have done something different, could I have taken him elsewhere..” but those things, won’t bring him back.
I decided to do something to try to make his memory live on by creating the “Ollie Bug” fund. I know times can be tough, and when an emergency arises with our pets, we often feel guilty because money just isn’t an option this week, or this month. This is where “Ollie Bug” would come into play. “Ollie Bug” runs off of donations and each month, my husband Kody & I will go around our area or if we are notified of a family who needs assistance(not locally) we will help! (Totally at random, we will not know these people)
If you know a family that is struggling to find the veterinary care needed for their pet and cannot afford it, this is also for that too—just shoot us a message.
