The newsletter for the 2023 season will be out by Friday. This year I am not taking on additional clients and I will be restructuring the way the company is run.

Have you seen me in your yard? I'm a Stenopelmatus. Please... DON'T kill me!
I would like to tell you a little about myself. Many people also know me as a potato bug, Jerusalem cricket, Skull Insect, Childface, or Mother of Scorpion. People get scared when they see me and want to kill me. Reality is that I'm running from you.

I'm not a spider nor scorpion nor cricket, and I HAVE NO POISON. My only weapon is my mandibles. With them I feed off the organic waste that is found next to garden plants. We have a very important role in the environment, because we help plant growth, thanks to removing the earth and thus allowing soil oxygenation.

My life span is a year. If you find me at night, don't kill me. I'm just looking for food and a safe place to hide.

This year is going to be different than any other year for Emerald Finish.

We are down to only two full-time crew members, and one part-time. We manage about 75-100 properties a season.

I am looking to hire a part-time helper for spring fall and possibly throughout the summer season. Pay DOE

We are starting behind due to the early winter so spring will be chaotic. If anyone wants to work part/full time in the spring/fall and part-time in the summer please let me know.

We will also be working as a team most of the year on all our properties. I will, unfortunately, not be accepting any new clients until further notice.

The snow is a real downer in the landscaping world right now. We will work on dry days and hopefully still finish the season! If we get snowed out. Spring will be busy! :) There are still about two dozen properties that are waiting to be shut down. If only could control the weather! Be safe out there!

Due to high wind snow and sleet, the crew will be off today. We will attempt working tomorrow.

We are running our full crew to try to get everyone done. We were not able to start fall clean up until the leaves started to fall. Now it looks like the snow is going to fall at the same time! We will do our best to get to all that we can. If the snow covers it all...we will clean it up in the spring :) Thank you all for your patience and loyalty to Emerald Finish!

Over the next 3 weeks we'll be working as a full crew to shut down all of our properties. Thank you for your patience, it's our busiest time of year and right now the coldest. Thank you for your support

A before and after of our largest project yet that we did this spring. We hauled 1,000lbs of debris each day. It was a labor of love but it was worth it! Love my crew

I am looking for a highly motivated person to join my crew and become a part of the team that makes the yards shine to their greatest potential in the Hayden, Coeur d’ Alene, and Post Falls.

MUST HAVE TRUCK OR RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION!
Pay attention to detail
Plant Knowledge
Listen to the clients’ need
Remove debris and haul it to the dump
Identify plant issues (will be taught if not known)
Be safety cautious
Work in all weather
Listen and follow the boss’s instructions
Dedicate to the team!

This is Not a short-term work opportunity. It takes time to learn and train. I expect all new members of the team to be in it for the better of the company, themselves, and long-term dedication. It is a great opportunity to work a flexible schedule, make good money, and do something you love.
