"Yana is a working dog and tore her Iliopsoas tendon when she was three years old. She had already earned two AKC tracking titles prior to injury and was in training for Search and Rescue in California. She was seen by two veterinarians before we met Dr, Kimberly Carlson who accurately diagnosed Yana's torn Iliopsoas tendon and recommended stem cell injections and VetStem which were performed. It was a long and difficult recovery as my high drive German Shepherd was restricted to leash walks only for eight-nine months but it worked. Imaging a year later showed the tendon had completely healed which is not always the outcome when that tendon is torn. Yana got back to training and was certified in Search and Rescue a year after recovery. I have kept her remaining stem cells stored at VetStem in case we may need them for future treatment. Yana will be ten years old in a couple weeks and has been serving the people and State of California searching for the missing for over five years and continues that work today. I am very grateful for Dr. Carlson and VetStem for a very positive outcome!"
