I had to wait a week to think about what to post about Linn County Fair! Every once in a while I get the opportunity to work with some amazing young people and their families. At the end of 2022 Rae Dodge contacted me about getting a couple of goats for Her 2 kids. Kylie and Caleb are both first time goat owners. Both are examples to everyone that you work hard, and never give up on your goals. At their first Jackpot show one lined up backwards and the other showed the with one hand in pocket. Kylie was Grand Champion Intermediate and Caleb Grand Champion Junior Showman. Both got to compete in Master Showmanship. Kylie and Piper won 3-6 Doe , Champion Junior Doe, Champion Commercial Doe and Overall Supreme Female. Caleb went onto Grand Champion Market drive with Patricia and ended up 4th overall. You all are an incredible family and thank you for all those workouts and late night calls asking questions. It is all about Family and making some amazing friends. Thank you.

This young lady messaged me at the beginning of the year with a goal in mind. She wanted to purchase a market goat that she could jackpot and be competitive at her county fair. When Clancy Kahn arrived at my place I could see the sparkle in her eye that she was serious about this. She was on the ground looking all the babies over. She picked out “Rocky”. Well she went home with a doeling also. Roll the calendar forward and look what she has accomplished. Linn County Fair Supreme Grand Female, Reserve Supreme Market and Supreme Goat Showman. This is an incredible accomplishment considering this is her first year ever showing goats. Clancey your dedication to learning has paid off. Thank you to you and your very supportive family for putting 2 of Dixon Goats at the Backdrop.
