Always very tricky to predict the weather on market days! It’s pouring down rain, unexpectedly, but about a dozen vendors are waiting it out until it stops. 🌧️ ⚡️ ☔️ We hope you’ll come on by after it lets up for your fresh local goodies!!! 🥔🥦🥒🥕🌽🍆🍅🧅🥬🍞🥖🪴🌱🍯🍑🫐 We need the rain, but why on Tuesday? 🤔 🙄 😒 😊😔

Bees are feel ing the heat too. They’re bearding, hanging outside the hive to reduce the heat inside - even though they keep it at around 93 degrees inside the hive for their larvae and pupae to develop. They also bring water in to help create some AC. Good thing they have the pond near.

The Goochland Farmers Market is open on Tuesdays from 4:00 to 6:30 PM. The honey bees were thirsty today.

And I got to eat one of Cave's Creations cake pops and it was absolutely amazing. Honestly, I couldn't believe how good it was.
