What I love about grooming from my 1-on-1 salon is being able to tailor grooming to what my doggie clients need that day, whether it's more cuddles before being fluffy dried or some time to sniff around the salon and have extra zoomies in the backyard before a bath.

Almost two weeks on the Appalachian Trail... time is moving so slow, and yet so fast. I'm learning that I'm capable of climbing 2 or sometimes 3 mountains a day. Who knew?? If I just take care of taking the steps in front of me, the mountains take care of themselves. We've passed the 50 mile milestone, a few days back. We stayed at a hiker hostel last night and are heading out for another 5 days, before resupplying. So, if you don't hear from me this morning, I'll try to follow up on questions and requests then. Happy trails!

Hiking on the Appalachian Trail today from Blood Mountain to Woody Gap, covering over 11 miles, in 9 hours. Such an amazing day, and amazing dogs enjoying the trail too.

Someone was nervous about his bath today! 😳 But, getting to have his brother in the tub made it more relaxing! Isn't everything better with a buddy? It's one thing I love about caring for your pets in my home grooming salon: siblings get to be together when they need each other. 🥰 They enjoy watching each other while waiting their turn for grooming, and taking a break outside together.

Maizie's very playful and her foster Mom would love for her to have a home with another K9 friend to play with. I give her an A+ for grooming today! She needs a home that is very patient with potty & crate training -- as she's lived outside for the beginning of her life. It's amazing how far she has come from being neglected and fearful of contact in September, to enjoying her visit to Meadow Lake Grooming. I'll be glad to put you in contact with her fostering group, if you are interested in adopting! 😊

This strong, beautiful girl had her first visit to Meadow Lake Grooming this week. Even with a short shiny coat...she left A LOT of hair in the salon!!! She had a Furminator deshedding package, where I blow the conditioner into her coat and rinse away shedded hair. After velocity drying her coat, a good brushing with an undercoat rake and rubber curry brush finish her up. Such a sweet dog!

We had a lot of fun playing in the leaves during the last couple weeks. One great thing about Meadow Lake Grooming is getting to spend time outside with the dogs between grooms. I am so thankful for all our clients who enjoy our calm home salon environment. What a beautiful Thanksgiving week it's been!

Happy 4th of July! I'm so glad I could give this sweetheart an extra relaxing spa day today, especially since he's not fond of his neighborhood fireworks. He loves Meadow Lake Grooming's quiet environment. (And, I love how cute he looks in our July bandana in this picture!)
