Spotlight on Rescues:
Blackhat Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization near the Blackhat rock formation in the Tse Bonito area of the Navajo Nation. Blackhat works to rescue the over 200,000 abandoned and stray animals on the Navajo Nation. Blackhat is supported by a network of volunteer foster families in AZ, UT, NM, and CL who re-socialize and find forever homes for our rescued dogs and cats. Blackhat provides food, vaccinations, spay/neuter services, and veterinary support for our fostered animals and for animals being kept as pets when the owners cannot afford veterinary care.
