Howard and his friend Kyle came by today to pick up his trophies! He is one of my last customers and one of my BEST customers! I will miss seeing you Howie and Kyle!

So I added up how many birds I have done since 1996 when I started keeping a tally....2,467 !! that averages to about 91 a year. That isn't counting personal birds or birds I did in the previous 15 years.:)

I left my shop for a few minutes and when I came back he was tearing the one side down already!The other side is what's left of the birds I have waiting for their owners to pick them up. :)

And last but of course not least I am thanking my outstanding husband Gary. Without his help I would of never been able to achieve such success.
7 years ago, after he retired from 42 years in the masonry business , he jumped right into being a "house husband". He told me it was the easiest job he ever had!
Cooking,cleaning,laundry,shopping,yardwork and taking care of the shipping was what he did so that I could concentrate on my business. Then he started building shipping crates for me without pay! Of course without that I would of only been able to do local birds.
So he tells me now that I'm retired I am going to have to help him do all the housework and cleaning etc. and I almost decided to keep on doing taxidermy! He already has started tearing part of my shop apart to start on his next project of turning it into a guest house.
Thank you my love for making my dreams come true.I'm looking forward to our future!!!!!!!! xoxoxoxxo

This is my last bird!
I want to take this opportunity to thank all my wonderful customers over the 43 years I've been in business. I felt honored to do your birds for you! I'm going to miss seeing you!
I also want to thank all my "groupie's" that kept me going with all your kind words and "likes"... you rock!
I would also like to thank all the wonderful fellow taxidermist's that I have met in person and online that helped me along with my business. I can't name them all but you know who you are!
A little tear came to my eye today when I realized I am completely done with taxidermy now....I had a great run! Actually I think the tear was more because I realized how old I am now !!!
I also have to thank FB for the free advertisement and a great tool for learning.
I will be watching all of you from time to time and hope to keep in touch with you! I also will be here if anyone has any questions that I can help you with.
On to the next chapter of my life! Woohoo! :)
