It’s a pretty good feeling to be able to whistle and have a whole herd of beautiful horses run to me, even if it’s just because they know I’m about to feed them 🤪🥰
I’m so incredibly proud of Cameron!🤩
We took a step back from jumping for a few weeks to focus on her position. That was a difficult thing to do because she loves jumping so much!
But she took it all in stride and used her desire to get back to it as motivation to improve her seat. We worked on targeting specific muscle groups and did exercises focused on biomechanics. There was a lot of work with the yoga ball, upward and downward transitions, and she even had some exercises to do for homework😮📚
Now look at her! Her hard work has certainly paid off😍
Today was a big day for Mr. C— his first ride!🤩 He’s certainly the tallest horse I’ve ridden by far, but man he is so gentle!
He did amazing, just needed some time and encouragement to get going forward, which I suspected he’d need being a very slow and easy-going guy. Once he started moving forward more freely, we called it a day!
I can’t wait to ride him this week and start turning him into the amazing lesson horse he’s going to be☺️

Clegane is getting more and more confident each day! He’s gone from being skittish around new objects, to now being curious about them🥰
The tarp is a perfect example— I laid it down in the round pen and stepped out to get some weights to keep it from blowing away. Instead of being at the opposite side of the round pen when I turned around, Clegane was sniffing it, nearly stepping on it without my assistance!
He continues to impress me with his willingness to please☺️
We had some fun playing horse soccer this week!⚽️
Sadly both our balls popped in all the fun, but it was very entertaining to watch how competitive some of our students can get 😂
My favorite quote came from Jon, who’s included in this video, “It was really eye-opening to see how the horses match the riders’ energy!”

He still needs to learn a lot before his first ride, but I’m very satisfied with how he’s coming along ☺️

Y’all, this sweet boy was the horse that ran away from me in the pasture the first time we met him. He was scared of his halter and of any ropes. We had to entice him with food to get him near us, then we worked for weeks to get him to allow us to so much as TOUCH him with the halter.
Now look at him🥹
He begs to be caught in the pasture, even puts his head down for you to halter him, wants love from everyone he meets, and today he’s wearing the saddle pad he didn’t want near him a few days ago! I’m so proud of him😭
There are few things in this world that bring me as much joy as seeing my students thrive with my horses 🥰
Teghan and Armani have an amazing connection and I love watching these two just vibe together! To be cantering bareback and bridleless, not worried about a thing but each other… It’s such a beautiful sight!😍

She did an amazing job feeling when Callie was on her hind end and correcting when she was heavier on her front end! Not to mention how light she is with her hands, using her seat and leg to direct Callie’s movements!

Gypsy (aka Goose🪿) is starting off her training strong with lots of exposure and desensitization to all sorts of things, like this bridge I built!🌉
Her future will be as a young girl’s horse and a lesson horse, so it’s important to get her confident with these things to ensure the safety of her and her future handlers. The great thing is she’s already a pretty confident filly!😋
