We regret to inform you that Dr. Holly Capps will not be in the office for the rest of the day due to food poisoning. She will be focusing on her recovery and expects to return to regular operations tomorrow.

Please rest assured that while Dr. Capps is off, our clinic staff will still be available in the office to answer any questions and refill medications as needed.

Reminder:
While we see appointments in order, we will always triage emergencies that come in experiencing imminent threats to their life. Animals that are brought in unresponsive, struggling to breathe, or having a different life-threatening emergency or highly urgent situation, will take priority over wellness and stable sick exam appointments. Emergencies and critical situations do not present to our office often, but these unforeseen occurrences can lead to a taxing day from all sides, especially that of our clients and patients.

We understand how frustrating it is to have unexpectedly long wait times. Our protocols for triage are to focus attention on those animals in severe distress. We will strive to be in consistent communication with you regarding what is happening in the treatment area, which is away from visualization and most hearing distances from the exam rooms, so that you can make the most informed decision possible. We know that schedules will sometimes not allow you to stay for an extended wait time. You are always provided with the option to reschedule or leave, as we understand that life has many challenges and unexpected situations.

As we have had a few individuals become upset and/or combative regarding wait times during emergencies, we wanted to give a general reminder:
If our focusing care on urgent and emergent patients that come in is not seen as appropriate and/or tolerable from an owner's perspective, we will not be a good fit for you as a veterinary medical provider.

Being that we are a one doctor practice, Dr. Capps is not able to attend to emergencies & directly oversee their care without there being an impact on wait times for healthy and/or stable appointments. Most of our wonderful clients appreciate knowing that if their pets ever have a true emergency, they will be tended to immediately and their health a priority at the top of our attention and focus to the best of our abilities. We understand that this medical model does not work for, nor appeal, to everyone and will be happy to provide you with a list of other veterinary clinics and hospitals in the area if you would like us to provide that for you.

We have PHENOMENAL and WONDERFUL clients who are absolute ROCKSTARS, especially those of you who are understanding of unexpected events and are able to wait or reschedule for another time and date. WE APPRECIATE ALL OF THE SUPPORT FROM OUR WONDERFUL COMMUNITY. THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING THIS ENDEAVOR SUCH A SUCCESS. We could not do this without you.

Good afternoon!

We will be closely monitoring the conditions and forecasts for Tropical Storm Debby over the next days to determine if business hours will be altered or closed.

If changes to the schedule need to be made, we will call clients as soon as possible to inform them of the change and work with them to reschedule.

We thank you for your understanding as the safety of our staff, clients, and pets remains of utmost importance to us. Please be sure if your pet needs any medication refills to call us ASAP so that we may have those available for you in the event we are closed.

Please be safe during this storm and remember to have plenty of food, water, and medications for you and your pets available. For those with livestock and other outdoor animals, please be sure that they have an elevated area of land available to them in case of flash flooding or flood waters rising.

Today we had the pleasure of seeing duck conQUAKtor for a yearly exam! He seems to be doing great , he was advised to stay hydrated with this warm weather ! He has been safely relocated to a more refreshing location :)

We are down half of our staff today due to illnesses and unforeseen circumstances. Please be patient with us as we strive to continue to see everyone as efficiently and thoroughly as possible.

We will be heavily limited with our ability to see urgent appointments, walk-ins, and emergency appointments as well.

NOTICE: POLICY CHANGE EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2024

Due to the large number of individuals that have not come to their appointments without adequate notice, if any, we will be implementing a $50 no-show fee per room appointment missed & $100 no-show fee per surgery.

New clients will need to make a $50 non-refundable deposit when making their first appointment. This will be deducted from the overall visit cost. If this is a no-show, the deposit will be forfeited.

We understand that life has unforeseen circumstances and emergencies occur. We are happy to work with people, but we request that folks notify us as soon as possible so that we may offer that time for animals that do need to be seen, especially if they are sick or injured.

We have been overwhelmed with the kindness and support from our wonderful community and want to be able to continue providing the best care possible for the pets and parents in the area.

To help as many patients as we can, we must have the availability to see them with the appropriate time to help them and give them quality care.

We greatly appreciate your understanding in this matter as we strive to remain in operation within the community. ❤️
