Humans have strange ways in which they communicate and move through the world observes the horse. They use flippers and lots of sounds in communicating with each other. Barley can smell, hear or run very fast. They can't feel anything from the earth for information. How in the world are they able to navigate the world to stay safe? Sitting here putting together my clinic information. I'm getting excited as I'm going to be introducing some deep dive stuff. Talking about Down- Regulation and the difference between Extinction, Desensitizing and Habituation. Low frequency sounds are responded to in the brain by neurons. The frequency that those neurons fire is also low frequency. In other words when you speak in your low voice the other person or horse brain hears that and starts firing in a low frequency tone. In other words, it entrains your voice, not just the timing, but it's actually like you're essentially playing an emotional piano down in the lower keys of their mind. When you go up to the high frequencies, the neurons can't follow that high frequency. So, there is something special about low frequency sound that actually changes the emotional tone.
So, when giving praise to your horse in a deeper frequency lower voice ending the word or phrase on a down note will initiate an emotional response and actually changes the emotional tone of the brain. This tone is easily mirrored and heard in the recipient's brain and there for a softer response is experienced.

Stay alert and calm... horses respond to that best.
