Well isn’t she a sweet treat?! Meet our newest friend, Mocha. She’s a whole lot of sweet but also packs a punch! We are working on lots of things today but mostly how to relax inside, around other dogs and some basic loose lead training!

We had a really fun weekend with our new friend, Jagger. He’s a puppy with lots of energy, playfulness’s and sweetness. We couldn’t get enough of him. Ruby even enjoyed having him around.

Day 1 obedience training with Rocky Cole. He’s a Weimaraner German Shorthaired Pointer who is incredibly smart. He learned fast today but we still need to drive home those foundational obedience commands. Day 2 coming tomorrow!

Letting the dogs out yesterday morning to get their wiggles out. We are all loving these beautiful fall days!

Your dog can learn so much by taking a guided/structured walk. Not only are walks important to brush up on foundational commands like heal, come, leave it and wait but it’s a HUGE confidence boost for a dog to try new things (i.e. walking over/around bridges and obstructions). A confident dog is a happy dog.

What do your dogs do at doggy daycare? Do they know how to settle down and relax or are they unable to regulate their energy? It is very important for a dog to learn to regulate their behavior and be around other dogs in a calm state. Ask me how!

All “packed” up and ready for a fun day! Days like this make us happy because our friends are happy! We make sure to keep our fenced in area safe, secure and clean.

I wanted to make a video to talk about why we use a slip lead and what the advantages are to using them. I’ve had so much success with all the dogs I’ve worked with when using a slip lead. It allows me to have control over the dog, give corrections and avoid smelling/marking/eating things while we are on a walk. Ask me today how this can help your dog or give a follow for more tips and cute pictures/videos of dogs!

Working on some more loose lead training with Cooper (brown mini golden doodle). He picked up on the concept with the slip lead very quickly. He had a few frustrating moments but that’s when the magic happens!

I rarely allow playtime in the house…you can see why. It creates a calm and stress free atmosphere for all of our guests, including our dog Ruby. In-home dog sitting is the way to go when you leave. You won’t regret it and your dog won’t come home with bad habits or anxiety.

Day two of working with Louie on his leash manners and I think it’s safe to say he’s a quick learner (black doodle on my right). This is my favorite type of training because with the proper tools and direction it’s possible for walks to be enjoyable. Don’t wait and ask me today what you can do!
