Tweeten Edgewood Stables is a small boarding, riding and training facility in the southwest Twin Cities area. We have an 8 stall heated stalling barn, an indoor riding area, outdoor riding arena, and bridle path around a 15 acre farm. We have one horse available for lease-primarily hunter pleasure.

December 9, 2022: We it is now official. We moved the last of our STUFF from Tweeten Edgewood Stables to, now our home in, Chaska - actually Chanhassen with a mailing address of Chaska and overlooking the Minnesota River and Shakopee. Diamond, now owned by Megan, and Emmi are in the caring hands of Majestic Hills, a riding ranch in New Market/Elko. We get down to see them several times a week. I mess their morning calls for hay and the privacy of interacting with them — but do not miss the daily routine of stall cleaning and barn maintenance.

As part of our move from the farm, I have turkey and deer hunting gear aviailable - needs a home with someone that still hunts! Please message your interest.

We at TES have made a difficult decision. We have decided to sell our farm and move to a home with less acreage. Please visit Zillow and search for: 4190 190th Street E, Prior Lake, MN 55372.
We will be looking for a home for our two horses and many pieces of horse training and riding tack. I anticipate continuing with ATH Science, Inc. The products we have created encompass the many horse handling skills that have been shared with me over my lifetime.
We will still be in the Twin City area.

It is a chilly New Years Eve night. The horses are cared for in a (slightly) warmed barn, fed and watered. We at the stable wish each of you a successful and enjoyable New Year!

I want to say thank you to Jenna, Karen, and Emma for all your help with the horses this past week. Kay and I could not have enjoyed our time away without your willingness to be here for us!

12/28/2017

I really wonder if the horses appreciate being in the barn today, a full 50 degrees warmer than being outside in the paddocks!

Just got back from the Midwest Horse Fair. It was great to know the horses were well cared for. Thanks Karen, Natalie, Jessica and Jenna!

04/29/2015

A special note of appreciation to Karen for helping care for horses during the Minnesota Horse Expo. The Expo was great fun. Six talks on horse care and building positive horse-human communication seemed to be well received.

November -- an 11 day stretch of sub-freezing temps and a white Thanksgiving. THEN December -- 3 days with highs near 50 with wretched humidity, fog and still, goodbye snow. Must be Minnesota, which direction is the weather coming from today (if at all)?

06/18/2014

Looks like today is going to be a 4-H type of day here at the Stables: HIGH Humidity, HIGH dew point, HIGH temperature, HIGH potential for thunder-lighting-rain!

We want to welcome Natalie Anderson and her beautiful chestnut Morgan horse, Booker, to TES. Thank you for choosing our stable to care for your horse.

Horses banned from Minn. expo due to contagious virus

TES was proud to host Bill Keller, Channel 9 news, to talk about the Minnesota Horse Expo and what the board is doing to make people aware of horse health precautions being taken to limit the potential spread of EHV-1. http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/story/25236679/horses-banned-from-expo-due-to-contagious-virus

It's called the Horse Expo, but this year, there will be something missing -- the horses. That's because a serious and contagious disease has prompted organizers to ban most equids from attending.

For the past month, I have been attending Harry Whitney 'Honest Horsemanship' Clinics most every morning through the 'window of prose (and poetry)' shared by Tom Moates. His first two books were as thought provoking as actually being at a clinic with Harry. Now, I am moving (to) "Further Down the Road"

After being away for three weeks in the southern hemisphere, I came back to cut hay ready for raking on July 4th. We baled and staked away 510 bales on July 5th. Celebrated American Independence doing the great farmer pastime: Haying!

Well, it worked! No Snow Fence, no Snow today!
Funny how it works just the opposite in the real winter. We have had few major snow drifts since we started using snow fence around the barn area.

05/01/2013

OK, I have had it! I took snow fence down today! I just can't wait any longer for nice spring weather to get the job done.
Also started taking the snow blower off so I can again get the grass mower deck attached to the lawn tractor!

04/27/2013

Great news! It is almost May and all the snow banks from all our late April snows have nearly disappeared! It will soon be dandelion season!

04/15/2013

Still WHITE here at the stables. This is one of those years having an indoor arena has been invaluable -- warm enough to work/ride the horses without the hassle of snow-ice-mud! Must say, the moisture is welcome considering the EXTREMELY dry late summer and fall we had. Hopefully the alfalfa did not get too much frost damage before the snow arrived in late December.

04/12/2013

Diamond, Emmi, and Courtney's horse, Buddy, got their spring immunizations, Cogins test, and teeth checked. They are a bit slow this evening. However, they will soon be ready to go for real spring (soon we hope) and summer outdoor rides! Thank you Dr. Dreifus! Watch out Tibby, Dr. Jessica will soon be pulling out the needles for you. Same for you, Lilly Mae!

03/31/2013

It was great to have a break from day to day horse care this past week. While skiing we did take a day to venture over to Virginia City -- had the privilege of seeing several small herds of mustang horses out on the Nevada mountain side. Many thanks to the folks here at the barn for helping care for the horses while we were away! The stalls, the aisle and even the horses were spotless!
