We have been getting many messages asking how to help our Founder as she recovers from her hand injury, she started the pantry based on her original need when she lost her job back during the beginning of COVID and she was unable to provide for her cats and her recently taken in deceased grandmothers cats for the first time in her life - luckily she had an amazing group of friends who helped her with feeding and providing for her cats until she got a new job. From that experience she vowed to ensure nobody ever had to worry about providing for their pet(s) ever again like she did.

She will be out of work for quite some time and her cats (and grandmothers that she took in) are a huge concern of hers for providing for as their food and litter is quite costly.

If anybody can help with any of the items below please PM us and we will provide the address to send them to. We appreciate any and all assistance.

For those who went to the planned distribution event over the weekend, saw we weren’t there and that no post was made/event wasn’t cancelled and checked on us - we appreciate you. Our Founder, the sole on the ground - runner of the organization - due to lack of volunteers - was/is still dealing with a major laceration to her hand (down to the 3rd layer of skin) and at joints. To those like Beth (pictures below), remember that organizations exist to help those because we WANT to… not because we HAVE to. Ignorance/rudeness is the easiest way to violate one of our core rules (which are consented to on our CAF), which will result in you being banned from our services for life, and should you use anybody to get assistance to skirt the rules, they will be banned as well for failure to be truthful and honest. Our Founder may be young appearing and you may believe her to be healthy but she is far from it, whenever an event has been cancelled due to her illnesses, posts are always made if able to be. She has many medical illnesses, terminal ones, but yet chooses to do this to help with the time she has left, so if you can’t be a decent human being at the bare minimum to get assistance then you are welcome to get assistance elsewhere… but you’ll find many of our sister organizations have the same “do onto others as you’d wish to have done to you” methodology.

We have had a huge influx of followers and Client Agreement Forms come in. For our new followers, familiarize yourself with our rules/policies which are found on our website. For the last year we have been mobile events only as we were transitioning our move to Woonsocket and the landlord for our new space ended up throwing us out for pettiness. Until we find another space we will continue to be mobile events only. Submitting multiple Client Agreement Forms will result in all of your forms being deleted, one is sufficient which would be known had our rules/policies been read in advance of applying. Calls to our TEXT only number will be blocked and you will be banned as you cannot adhere to blatant policies that are clearly outlined on our website. Every rule/policy is there for a reason. We are here to help but mutual respect is required and adherence to rules/policies is mandatory. We are run by one person who works and jeopardizing the very source of funding for the pantry will result in hurting more than just the person who couldn’t adhere to the rules/policies so no exceptions will be made. We look forward to seeing you all at our mobile events. Those who come to our mobile events who have not followed our process will be turned away.

Huge shoutout to Alicia Vallette for their incredibly generous donation to the pantry! Much needed cat supplies when both locations are out of dry/wet cat food, our main location is out of dry/wet dog food, and our secondary location is about to be out of it as well!

We wanted to announce our upcoming distribution events, we will be making Facebook events for them in the next couple days, ensure you RSVP, as well as (if you haven’t already filled one out prior) you fill out our Client Agreement Form, this is a required form for ALL who visit our pantry.

We will be at Farm Fresh Rhode Island at 10 Sims Ave from 9am-1pm on the following dates (while supplies last):

November 15th
December 13th
February 7th
April 4th

We are entirely out of cat food (wet/dry) as well as dog food at our main pantry location, and our secondary location located at St. Mary of the Bay Food Pantry which is open Tuesday/Wednesday during their food pantry hours is entirely out of cat food (wet/dry) and will be out of dog food as of their next distribution so we need supplies folks. We have found a storage unit that will allow us to store food again; however, they require it to be in Rubbermaid containers to do so. We are seeking donations of Rubbermaid containers, if you have any you’d like to donate contact us via text/PM here. We appreciate you all. Attached you will find our Amazon Wishlist.

FREE PET WELLNESS CLINIC ON 10/19 9AM-1PM! Included in this clinic are the following: Core vaccines. Rabies, distemper and kennel cough for dogs. FVRVP and rabies for cats. They will do heartworm tests if they are due and elv/fiv tests if due. There are NO additional services offered. Please show up with any records you have for your pet.

We are having a distribution event today (7/1) with Farm Fresh Rhode Island at their Woonsocket location at the Bank of America building (at the intersection of John A. Cummings Way/Clinton Street) from 3pm-6pm (while supplies last)!

NOTE: we will only have wet food available today (for both cats/dogs). As always all market visitors have to fill out of Client Agreement Form (if you have not already done so/if your information changed!).

In case y’all are wondering why we don’t do pickups anymore, this is why. After telling this “person” this - they instead got foul with us and as you know, one of our biggest rules with the pantry is that those who are not kind are not welcome. We don’t believe one person ruins it for everyone which is why we still do mobile events/pop ups but due to several failed pickups/wasted food we do not do pickups anymore until we get more volunteers in place, unless you’ve been a confirmed pickup from us prior (which we have record of). All new/prospective clients are welcome to attend our mobile events/popups providing they adhere to our Client Agreement Form which is always available online and if not filled out prior/while at the event (only has to be done once to be on file unless an update is made) then food/supplies won’t be distributed out. Our process isn’t complicated nor are our rules. We will say this though: twisting words, threatening to show up and “see us” will result in the Police being involved, charges being pressed and any threats will be taken seriously whether verbally or written, we don’t care if you are angry/spoke out of line and apologize later (which they haven’t) - this incident has already been reported to the Police Department and will be handled accordingly. Should this person or any known associates show up at our mobile events/pop ups and ruin the distribution events for our clients in need rest assured not only will the Police be involved but you will only be hurting an entire community of people in need and their pet(s).

We have some unfortunate news everyone and we are reaching out for your help. Our Founder got into a bad car accident a bit under two weeks ago and insurance just got back that it is a total loss. With their offered payout, she won’t be able to get a new vehicle which means she won’t be able to continue the good work in the community that she has been doing for years and we don’t want that to happen. We are looking to see if anybody has any connections to car dealership owners as we need a replacement vehicle, preferably a SUV, to keep up our good work here at the pet food pantry, our First Responders Dinners for Thanksgiving/Christmas time every year, along with our work with Help the Homeless and countless other activities our Founder does to help the community!

We are going to be looking for a popup location around Woonsocket and Providence for this month and June. Preferably somewhere where our Founder can be sheltered from the elements to ensure her MS does not flare up due to heat exacerbation. If anybody has any recommendations please let us know. We are working out summer dates with Farm Fresh Rhode Island right now and once we have them we will post them here and on our website under the Events section!

Update: we still don’t have a table, we will be outdoors soon and will need the tables, outdoor AND indoor storage containers for the pre-prepared foods for pickup orders, table organizers for mobile events, along with several other items.
