PLEASE DON’T DECLAW!!!

Did you know that declawing a cat is the same thing as cutting off your own finger at the last knuckle? It's painful, leaves the cat defenseless, and leaves the cat prone to arthritis and behavioral issues in the future.

Declawed cats often end up with litterbox avoidance because the litter hurts their paws 😔

Keep cats safe this winter — check under the hood and around your vehicle before starting the engine.

Apple cider vinegar!

We can not say enough good things about its cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitization!!

And we are down to our last bottle. 😱

Are you out shopping today and would like to donate bottle or two?

We will be in house from 9am to 3pm today!

As always, thank you so much for helping our Community Cats 💕🐈

SANCTUARY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Habitat for Cats needs volunteers to work at its south Westport sanctuary. If you love cats and would like to get involved with a great organization, contact us at [email protected]. Please note that we require a commitment to a regular schedule, but we’re flexible and can accommodate absences for vacation, illness, etc. Give us a call and get involved…you’ll love our cats and our people!

SANCTUARY CAREGIVERS
The work involves feeding, changing water, cleaning litter boxes, giving medicine, and other chores as necessary. Volunteers must be comfortable with outdoor work year-round. Shifts are weekly or biweekly, morning or late afternoon/evening, and the work takes 60-90 minutes. We are currently actively recruiting for a weekly Friday PM shift, a biweekly Wednesday AM shift, and a biweekly Sunday AM shift. Email [email protected] for more information. Serious inquiries only, please.

You can help outdoor and community cats this winter without bringing them into the shelter.

11/01/2023

Do you keep a cat shelter for community friends? A reminder that straw is the best insulator - never use hay, which can get wet and become dangerous when in contact with a cat's body. After all the rain, ice, and record snow this past weekend, please make sure to check any existing shelters in case a straw refresh is needed!

Helping these cats won't take much time, and the kitties will be grateful. Here are a few tips to keep outdoor cats safe in the winter months.

If you have ordered a tote shelter or a feeder from us, please inbox me (Linda) asap. We have five shelters & one feeder available for pickup tomorrow after 5pm. We are in the process of getting caught up with backorders that might have gotten lost somewhere in the mountain of emails that Gregory received. He has been very busy building, dumpster diving & transporting so I'm trying to help with maintaining orders coming in and going out. Thank you for your patience.

Christa Beauvais one small tote shelter will be put aside for pick up on Thursday for you.

Ashley Elizabeth one shelter is being put aside for you.
