Our dedicated zookeepers put a lot of thought and effort into new and creative ways to enrich our animals lives. During this time of year we do a lot of pumpkin enrichment because it’s fun and festive, but more importantly, it’s amazing for our animals! All of the different textures, smells, and tastes included in this enrichment encourage natural behaviors and stimulate the senses of our servals. Thanks to keeper Jillian for taking us behind-the-scenes for a look at what goes into the fun! 👻

Enrichment is so important for our animals, and pumpkins are a fun way to provide them with new smells, textures and flavors while encouraging natural behaviors, like foraging.
