Socializing Chopper!
Chopper had no trust for humans when we first started working with him. He was in a flight state of mind! It took me at least 15 minutes to get the leash on him at the city pound. Chopper has come along way in a short time. Chopper needs to learn that not all humans will hurt him. The only way we can change his mind is to give him lots of good experiances around humans. I have been socializing Chopper with adults as well as kids so he can find a good home. Chopper is making amazing progress for being a fearful dog that most times takes months and months to rehabilitate.

Cruzer!
Cruzer is a very high energy dog! You can walk him two miles and it barley fazes him. Boarder Collies are high energy and love to run so I trained Cruzer to run beside the four wheeler to give him the exercise he needs each day to stay calm. Before I started running him he was showing dominate behavior with most members of the pack and Mayo corrected him twice. I could see Cruzer had too much energy pent up so I trained him to run beside me just like we were walking. Cruzer has to stay in a heal beside me or behind me while he runs. Notice the leash is loose so he is following me under my direction. I have taught him several commands when I first started this exercise to give him direction and protect him. Each intersection we come to he knows to slow down and if there is a car and we stop he sits and wait for the command to go! Now we drain him each morning and sometimes in the afternoon so he can be with the pack rather than in a crate. We want him to learn to be calm and submissive so he can find a good home in any setting!

The Pack!
We have no containment or fence at the shop. When we let them out to go do their business they stay in the area I set the boundaries for. We had to get Shotsee from the neighbors a couple of times. He is the escape artist of the pack. All of the pack has to sit and stay before going out or coming back into the shop.

FLOATING ON AIR!
Look at Reno go! I have been running Reno the last week beside the 4 Wheeler to help his leg and get him back in shape. Reno had over a month of down time while his leg was healing.

Chopper in with the pack!
Chuee did it again by breaking the ice with Chopper. Chopper spent the first 4 days hiding in a corner. Sky Mayo and Zee all three tried to welcome Chopper into the pack and get him to play but it was Chuee that broke the ice. Chopper is well on his way to becoming a balanced dog. I'm sure he will find a great family that will love him and give him a good home.

Chopper last night!
Just in a few days we have changed this sweet little boys life. I thought when we first took him in it would take months and months to rehabilitate him from his fear. Fear cases take way longer than flat our aggression. You can never tell with dogs and Chopper must long for the this life he has never had!

Chopper and Reno!
Last night we took Chopper and Reno over to a neighbors house where there are lots of kids. Reno is great with kids and loves to be around them. I took Reno to help Chopper with his social behavior around adults and kids. Each good experience he has around humans helps him to trust more and more. I was amazed at how great he was. Chopper is still a bit unsure but in less than a week he is doing so awesome.

Walking Foxy Chopper!
We don't know what has happened to Chopper in his past. It doesn't matter really but what ever it was he lost trust in humans completely. My guess he was abused to the point he ran away! He was in flight mode till a couple of days ago and he mellowed out. He seemed more comfortable with women right off the bat. He still has a collar on so he belonged to someone.
Chopper is a great example of how fast dogs can over come their past experiences and how they long to be balanced and loved.

We walk Chopper twice a day. This is the best rehabilitation for him to learn to trust and become re-socialized with humans and the outside world. Chopper and I are building that bond of trust that all dogs need to feel with their pack leader.

We were so proud of Reno. We have never been to an event like this and neither has Reno. We weren't sure how he was going to react but he was excellent and one of the most relaxed and well behaved dogs there.

Talking Pit bulls! Most of our pack are vocal and love to express themselves. Sky want to come lay on the bed and watch TV with us. She will keep it up until I tell her to quit and go lay down.

Reno
Reno

Reno's first trip to the lake! Well Reno loves the water as much as Sky, Duke, Zee, Jam and Maj. Reno has really popped out of his shell the last month. He is a different dog from the whole time we have had him. I realized that Reno never had a chance to relax since we got him, until now! We have been working with the whole pack in different senerios as this is all new to us as well as the pack. We basically had to start all over from scratch with training the pack new rules, boundaries, and limitations.

Sky is teaching Jam how to play! We trained all our dogs to lay down when they play with puppies or smaller dogs. Sky is showing jam how to play being calm and in control.
