Hello old friends! 🌟
Well, it’s been a minute—or a couple years—but who's counting? 😉 I’m finally coming up for air, and I have some amazing updates to share and an invitation at the bottom as well!

I wanted to share with the people I worked with for so many years in Amber's Grooming Salon! You were all so supportive and I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with you and your pets. This is what has been happening for me as well as your invitation...

Over the past couple of years, life has been a whirlwind of challenge and change: falling in love with an amazing man, lots of family time in paradise, became an International Best Selling Author in self development, Jaz (my oldest) moved to the mainland this year, Kira Graduated HS this year and is moving out and into my apartment rental, Logan is a Senior, and Gavin is in 5th grade!! I've had some pretty incredible opportunities professionally which is what inspired this post.

First, I’m excited to share that I’m now the Co-Owner of The Organizational Learning Center (OLC) which has been in business for over 20 years. At The OLC, we work with large corporations to improve their health and prosperity by empowering frontline workers to get creative, embrace self-love, and build better relationships—all through process improvement projects. It’s about transforming systems AND people, doing our part to influence the world into natural harmony and improve the health of our society and the planet. It’s been such an honor to step into this role. I'm still getting my feet under me and learning every day. Our company is based in California and Hawaii for now and we have a sister OLC in Europe.

I also launched my business, Sitara Strategies LLC. Through this work, I’ve been offering powerful mindset coaching and collaborative programs to individuals. I am incorporating my methods into the OLC programs, which is what got me invited to be a Partner in the company. (Double-duty mindset magic, anyone?)

I want to say thanks again for all the wonderful comments, emails, and messages! I needed to hermit for a bit and feel into this closure so if I haven't replied or called you back, that's why and I promise I will! Even though it was a conscious choice to move in a different direction, I still faced the grief of loss. This was a big part of my life in a defining way.

Some people are asking what's happening next for me so I'll share for anyone interested...

I am super excited for what I'm working on in my other business, Stargazer Strategies, and I'm about to release a book internationally (on the 14th) that I wrote with other powerful women called Jaguar Medicine! I've been interviewed on podcasts and worked with many other amazing entrepreneurs so far and I have 2 more books coming this year. One around the journey to enlightenment and one around flow in business.

I've written a few songs with people from around the world that are being produced and will be offered to key artists soon. I'm sure you'll hear them! Eek! I've been a singer songwriter since I was little so I'm living that dream professionally, starting with writing for others until I get the courage to be on stage again. Soon!

I moved to Hawaii 18 months ago with my 4 kiddos, as many of you know. Have my scuba license and plan to work with marine life in some way. Always wanted to work with dolphins so I believe that's coming for me.

Through Stargazer Strategies, I'm working with heart centered businesses to align them to their true north and teach them how to find peace and flow while owning and celebrating everything they deserve to be, making a big impact on their communities, and their own life.

My kids are doing amazing but they have their own lives and platforms so I'm careful not to share unless they approve. But they are each growing and embracing themselves and their individuality and I'm blessed they're all healthy and perfect.

I'm celebrating the flow I have found. And while the shop was hard to release, it was neccessary for my own growth, service, and impact.

I did everything I could to find someone to fill my shoes, so Amber's could go on to serve you...without me. I learned a lot through stubbornly holding on to that idea.

The Universe had other plans...and non-attachment was the lesson. I learned how to let go...of everything. I learned that I gave far too much and that I had depleted myself. I learned how to be more heart centered, while standing in my power. I learned forgiveness and compassion for myself and for others are superpowers I hold inside me. And I learned how to embrace myself and know this is what's best for me, and never to doubt my truth.

A letter to our supporters,

It is with a heart full of gratitude for the last decade of business and 15 years serving this community as a Pet Groomer, that I announce the official closure of Amber’s Grooming Salon as of December 31st, 2021. All appointments are canceled and we're working through them to let everyone know.

The staff and I will be having a “celebration of life” for Amber’s together soon. I want to say thank you to Jocelyn, Xavier, Theresa, and Donna, for your dedication to excellence, in serving these animals and our clients. You have each been so supportive to each other and to me and I’m grateful for your support in this decision as well, as it was a difficult one to make.

I want to thank every client who has touched my life by believing in me and supporting my family over the past 15 years. There are no words to describe how grateful I am for you, for making this all possible.

I want to thank all of my employees. You cared for our customers and their pets and brought your own unique flavor to the shop. You helped keep it clean and safe and we really had a lot of fun throughout the years. Going to trade shows and making them into mini vacays together, random gatherings, Christmas parties at my house or when we went on a ferry to see the Coeur D’Alene Lights. Movies, fancy dinners, charity balls where we dressed to the 9’s, and community events serving and sharing our service and having fun. Lunch from Jimmy John’s every Friday. Always needing new smocks. Ripping them right after we got them. Our skeleton Jack, who always caused mischief on Halloween. Our salon Minion mascot (thanks Nate, one of my besties for wearing it!) and the big parade with clients walking the road with us. Coffee every day. Leaving gifts on my car, or at my desk. Pizza parties, birthday cakes, and working late as needed. Celebrations and tears on your last days as you moved onto the next chapter in your lives. So many wonderful memories, tears, and laughter in these walls, and I’m grateful for it all. Thank you!

I want to thank our community for the support throughout the years. The vet offices, rescues, newspapers, radio, friends, and clients for all your recommendations and reviews. You helped us grow and believed in me right from the beginning and I appreciate that so much. It was pretty cool to hear our name mentioned on the radio because one of the djs was getting their dog groomed here, or to get a call from the newspaper asking to do a story on us because they heard great things. Hearing the positive and uplifting things people shared, always meant so much to me.

I want to thank the cats and dogs that touched my life and made it more magical and full of purpose. The kittens and puppies full of innocence, playfulness, and joy. The special needs pets that needed a little extra support to get through the process. The aggressive animals that didn’t understand we were trying to help them, and would lash out in fear. The teens that would constantly see what they could get away with. The elderly pets who just couldn’t stand up anymore so we would groom them on the floor, or in our lap. The show dogs who would hand us their paw to file their nails, and the ones that screamed when you tried to file theirs. The ones we discovered life threatening health issues in just the right time, and the ones we helped heal from skin conditions. The ones we had to turn away because grooming wasn’t safe for them or us. The ones that practically groomed themselves. The ones who were constantly moving the entire time or trying to lick our faces and the ones that stood perfectly still but wouldn’t give you the time of day. The pets who felt at home, and the ones who couldn’t wait to leave. The ones that peed in the lobby. Every. Single. Time. The ones that pooped right on the table while we were working on them…and then stepped in it as we frantically reached for the paper towels. The ones that gave wonderful hugs, sometimes to get you to stop brushing them. The ones we rehabilitated. The ones we couldn’t. Wow…I could go on and on. I loved every single one of them.

I want to thank all of the angels who will always be remembered in my heart, both pets and clients. This was a hard part of this business. Death is a part of life and we never expect it to happen. And then it does. And we must accept it.

I want to thank those who helped Amber's Grooming Salon get started and everyone who helped with remodels and supported me in those first years, whether beside me or in the background cheering the shop on. 💝

I want to thank you. You made this all mean something, just by being here. Thank you!
