FAQ's About Toup:
-Where did Toup come from? He was an outdoor cat at my old house.
-How old is Toup? We don't know for sure, we first saw him in 2016 & he was fully grown. It took quite some time to earn his trust before moving him inside.
-Why does he sound like that? No idea, he's always sounded like that
-What happened to Toup's tail? We were working on bringing him indoors when it got caught in the door as someone was leaving. He had to get part of it amputated. This was a big reason as to why he was an indoor/outdoor cat for so long, he would put himself in physical danger trying to get out just to go lay in the yard.
-What happened to Toup's ear? We're not sure, he showed up like that. Maybe it was "tipped" through a TNR program (he was also neutered before showing up) or maybe it's from frost bite, we don't quite know.
-How's Toup adjusting to the "new" house, being totally indoors? He's been doing great, but it's obvious he misses the sunshine. We are in the works of getting a catio built for him & the others, but it's a busy season. We have secured a few materials in the meantime!:)
-What's Toup's relation to The Biscuit Factory? Toup is basically a founder😂 He is one of many cats that I rescued personally. I had a few Tiktok's gain a lot of traction (especially posts about Toup) and we quickly gained a lot of followers. I wanted to use our platform to help more cats, and that's how The Biscuit Factory got started. We have since helped to spay/neuter hundreds of cats, helped find homes for almost 40 kitties, as well as networked with other rescues to help countless others.

Toups got to enjoy some fresh air & sunshine this morning ☀️
He was so happy to be back outside with his paws in the grass! 🤞🏻hopefully the catio will be making more progress soon, we have been slowly gathering materials!
I also really enjoyed our little walk in the yard today. I've been preparing for our TNR clinic trip this week, which can be very overwhelming at times. So it was nice to take a little break with Toup❤️

We are getting ready for our next TNR trip that's coming up this Thursday, June 6th. We will be taking 20 community cats to get spayed/neutered at York County SPCA.
We need to raise funds for this trip. All together, we hope to raise $800. This will cover the cost of all surgeries, vaccinations, transportation, and any additional costs that may occur.

Happy late Toupsday.. again😅. As most of you already know, life has been hectic here. It has been very difficult trying to find the balance between my new role as a mother & my role as a rescuer. Up until I got pregnant, my entire life revolved around the animals. Rescue is my true passion. Even while I was pregnant, I still fostered 20+ cats & helped to TNR over 200 cats last year. But because of my dedication to the animals over the last few years, I have not taken the time I need to focus on myself or my family. I have spent holidays, birthdays, and important events out trapping cats or running to the vet. I have missed out on a lot, all in the name of helping the animals. I have put my physical health & mental health on the back burner. Because if I don't step up to help, who will? We have extremely limited resources in our area. Rescues are full, not many are able to help with TNVR services. Low cost spay/neuter options are hard to come by. It's difficult to find volunteers or fosters willing to help. I know I am extremely lucky to have the amount of followers & support that I do. But almost all of the responsibilities that come with rescuing still rests on my shoulders. I arrange every vet visit, every TNVR clinic trip. I care for most of our fosters, making sure to give them as much love/pets that I can, cleaning up after them, & providing them with everything they need. I make every post, keep track of all of our funds, stay stocked up on supplies. I answer all the messages, emails, etc. (often late, but i'm trying) The amount of responsibility I feel is crushing. In the last few weeks, I've often thought about quitting. Getting rid of our social media accounts, finding homes or placement for our fosters, so I can finally focus solely on myself & my family.

I know he misses being able to go outdoors (he keeps darting towards the front door every time it's opened😅) So we asked last week if you guys would be interested in donating towards a catio & we got a lot of positive responses! i know he & the other kitties miss being able to go outside. i can't wait until we are finally able to build a catio here, but materials are expensive. i've been considering starting a gofundme if you guys would be willing to donate towards it? thankfully my dad is going to help build it, so we will be able to do all the work ourselves.
if we can come up with the funds, i hope to build it soon. the weather is finally getting nice, it's supposed to reach 70 degrees today! we have the windows cracked open so the kitties are at least able to enjoy a little fresh air:)
