Longing, yearning, a pining burning ache in his heart. Elias is filled with the despair of never being chosen.
He looks up from resting his head on his paws and gazes upon every person passing by his cage with hopeful glimmers only to be disappointed by receding footsteps.
Elias was not made to be without a family. His soul, thirsty for human contact and praise. His heart, weary from dreaming every day for a year, for someone to choose him. His body, tired from concrete floors and vinyl beds, not having a couch or pillow of his own. Please help him find a home for Christmas. Please help us help him. Please help us, so we don't disappoint him, again.
Good with dogs, cats, and kids. (No ducks or rabbits, though.)

Millie is the most wonderful, patient girl. But we see her pleading eyes each time someone walks past her kennel. It’s hard to believe she’s been waiting almost four months for a home and a family.💔😢 Millie is a beautiful Shepherd mix, approximately 2-3 years old. She’s very gentle & loving. She walks beautifully on leash. She’s a volunteer favorite and we’re all hoping her Christmas miracle comes today! Millie is dog friendly and should easily fit in with any cat-free home. It’s that time of year when the temperatures drop down below freezing. This will be happening this week. Please bring your pets inside to protect them. If you are not able to bring your dog inside, then make sure you have a heavy duty dog house that sits up off the ground. Use straw for insulation as it keeps them warm and helps to repel water. Do not use blankets as they suck in the moisture and are more likely to freeze. Straw is available at any farm store and home improvement store. Check your outside faucets, run water inside your house. If you haven’t already had your furnace on please check it to make sure it’s working. Bundle up your kids for school and check on your neighbors, family and friends. Thank you!

ADOPTION FEE IS SPONSORED!
Hoppy needs to be adopted or tagged by rescue as his time is up Monday afternoon. He is a happy-go-lucky boy, dog friendly, loved having middle school kids visit him, and loves to play fetch. He does need to have his space to eat but has been much better since he has put on weight. Adoption fee is $80 (cash or check), which pays for his neuter and rabies vaccine.
