IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

Comb & Collar family,

Beginning on Friday, July 26th, Comb & Collar will have a cancellation/reschedule policy. Any appointment scheduled on or after this date will be subject to this policy. We will now require a card on file for all future appointments. This info can be inputted via the online booking website when you make an appointment.

Unfortunately, there have been a large number of last-minute cancellations and reschedules as of late. Please know that I understand things happen, and that there are certain unforeseen circumstances in which this situation cannot be avoided. This policy will be implemented at my own discretion, and the circumstances surrounding the situation will be considered.

Your appointment is valued time that has been set aside for you and only you. It is also time that, when an appointment is cancelled last minute, is wasted and can no longer be filled that quickly. If you must miss or reschedule last minute, please give a courtesy call/leave a voicemail.

I absolutely adore every single one of my fur clients and pet parents, and I am so lucky to have such an amazing and supportive group of people surrounding my business. It is my goal to provide you and your pets with the best service for as long as possible.

Someone take this precious baby home tomorrow!!🦴🐾❤️

Meet Benji. This special man has been through it! He was shot multiple times, hit by a car (we believe from injuries) and had leg repair surgery that left him in kennel rest for 5+ months. After an amazing spa day from Comb & Collar LLC, he is ready to go home! He will be coming to Petsmart tomorrow to find his forever home. He will have some limitations, but that won’t stop the cuddles from this 27 pound love muffin! He deserves his happily ever after!

In case you were wondering why your dog’s groomer is dressed as a mad scientist…

THIS was a DE-SHED DAY!! Luckily I had an old lab coat and goggles laying around to shield me from the fur that was flying around! Who says you can’t have a blizzard indoors?!

Hey everyone! I planned to save this post for closer to Thanksgiving, but I decided that it just couldn’t wait. THANK YOU to each and every one of my precious clients who support my business. I have felt nothing but heartfelt gratitude since opening in May.

In March, I was looking for a daycare I would feel comfortable sending my dogs to. Because of this, I met Laurie Moudy, who welcomed my dogs and I with open arms into the facility on Rolling Oaks Farm. After some long conversation, I asked if they were still looking for a groomer to be a part of their facility. She said yes! About a month or so rolled by, and Josh, Laurie’s husband, had transformed an empty room into what is now my work space. Thank you, Laurie and Josh, for your generosity, for always lending a hand, for making me feel like a part of your family, and most importantly, for your love of Christ. I am surely surrounded by the right people in this season of life, and I am so grateful I met you. I prayed about this business before it opened, hoping I was making the right decisions. So many things fell into place at just the right time and it brought me to tears more than a few times. The Lord has surely blessed me with this business and with the kindest, most friendly clients! Every day, not just Thanksgiving, remember to count your blessings! There is so much to be grateful for!

Zoey stopped by yesterday for a haircut! Isn’t she the cutest?!?🥰 Her owners were so kind to play along for an impromptu photo shoot at the end, and to send in some “before” pictures, too! She did great for her first haircut ever!

Sammy was such a good boy for his groom!💕 He was a little shy at first, but came out of his shell after a while. He boarded this week at The Deladios Inn, so we got to spend a little extra quality time with him! He is so loved and we are ready for him to return!

Howie was so brave for his first groom EVER! We took things slow and kept the hair cutting pretty minimal to avoid damaging his coat, which at his age (~12 weeks) is still developing. The blow dryer was no match for this courageous boy! Great job Howie!🥰

Your puppy’s first few grooming visits are the most important ones they will ever have- they learn the sounds, sights, and smells of the grooming process and most importantly, learn to trust their groomer and learn what the groomer expects of them. These visits double as an opportunity for your groomer to train your dog in proper grooming table etiquette. Their behavior on the table impacts the quality of work that your groomer can do, so early introduction is vital! Your puppy can begin visits as soon as they have had all of their puppy vaccinations! We hope to see you and your furry friend very soon!
