Look at these cute bunnies!!! We have two adorable and very sweet English Lop bunnies at the shelter that are available for adoption -- for FREE! You read that right, we are waiving the adoption fee to ensure that this bonded pair is adopted together.

Cotton and Carbon are 2 years old, females, and they are both spayed. The previous owners loved these bunnies, but unfortunately had to rehome them due to an allergy. They are very friendly and so fluffy!

Our shelter is located in Puyallup near the South Hill Mall, and will be open starting at 11 a.m.

**UPDATE - ADOPTED - HOORAY!**

Are you looking for a big sweet dog to keep watch over your farm? Then I'm the perfect dog for you!

My name is Ceyda, and I came into the shelter as a stray earlier this month, after being found wandering near the industrial area of Sumner. My owners have not been located, and the nice people at the shelter have said that I'm ready to find an amazing new family.

I love to be outside and to lay in the sun, and the staff here at the shelter describe me as "sweet with people" and "submissive". I am an Anatolian Shepherd - that means I'm a really big dog that has been bred to watch of livestock/flocks. Anatolian Shepherds are known for being very loyal and intelligent, and I agree!

As a dog that loves being outside and room to roam, I would do best in a home that has a really big yard or lots of property. I don't know how to use a leash yet and with my herding nature, I am very sad to be in a kennel at the shelter. My friends here are really hoping that I find a new family fast -- could that be you?

THANK YOU!!!! Throughout the weekend, our shelter received several donations of wet kitten food from our amazing community. Thanks to your generosity, this food will help ensure that these sweet babies - plus four other litters of kittens in our care - will get the nutrition they need. Once they are at least 8 weeks old and pass their weight test, these kittens will be ready to be adopted out to their forever homes!

Can you help provide needed supplies for the kittens in our shelter? With several litters recently born in the shelter, we now have over 30 kittens in our care and need donations of wet kitten food - any amount helps and is greatly appreciated!

Donations can be dropped off at the Metro Animal Shelter, which is located at 1200 39th Ave. SE in the City of Puyallup. You can also have your donation of kitten food shipped directly to the shelter from retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Chewy; we have posted links to our wishlists in the comments.

Thank you very much for helping to support the lost, abandoned, and stray animals in our community. We are grateful for your support!

Are you thinking about adding a dog to your family? We have several amazing dogs available for adoption at our shelter, including our buddies Radley, Thor, Meena, Jack, and Birch. Please stop by our shelter on Friday or Saturday to meet these sweet pups and learn how you can be a hero for them!

Metro Animal Shelter is located on 39th Ave. in the City of Puyallup, near the Lowes hardware store and the South Hill Mall. We strive to keep our fees as one of the lowest in the region in order to help encourage adoption and to shorten the length of stay for the animals in our care.
