Last Chance Ranch

Last Chance Ranch Since 1999, Last Chance Ranch® has been a cornerstone of our community in Quakertown, PA. The kennel facility was completed in 2010.
(574)

Each year, LCR rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes well over 1,000 neglected or abandoned animals with the help from volunteers. Last Chance Ranch® (LCR) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization rescuing and rehabilitating equines, farm and domestic companion animals. LCR is dedicated to promoting and educating the public to humane and responsible treatment of equines, farm animals and other domesti

c companion animals including dogs and cats. LCR provides a safe and secure refuge for abused, unwanted or neglected animals. LCR rehabilitates the physical ailments of these rescued animals and places them into homes where they receive the love, attention and care they deserve. Our follow-up programs, educational seminars and clinics ensure their continued well-being. Last Chance Ranch was founded in 1999 as a 501c3 non-profit equine rescue, focusing on slaughter-bound equines. In 2005, after assisting with the recovery efforts of Hurricane Katrina, LCR reorganized as a companion and farm animal rescue. A few years later in 2007, LCR expanded to 25 additional acres which allowed for additional barnyard animal enclosures and plans for a future kennel. Currently, LCR’s 35-acre facility has the ability to house more than 150 animals of all types. Last Chance Ranch Animal Rescue is not affiliated with any other organizations. Last Chance Ranch has learned that there may be some lingering confusion among the public with respect to the former affiliation of Lori McCutcheon with LCR. The purpose of this announcement is to confirm that while Lori McCutcheon was the founder of LCR and continues to own the real estate where our facilities are located, she has not held a position within LCR since December, 2017. Since that time she has no authority to represent LCR or to hold herself out as having an ongoing affiliation with LCR. If you have experienced, or are aware of, any attempts by any person to falsely represent LCR, please contact our Executive Director, Jackie Burke, at [email protected] or by calling (215) 538-2510, ext. 102.

He has the cutest face and is a mix of breeds with possibly a dash of retriever and a hint of bulldog. Whether he’s romping around with toys or trotting over for affection, Donny knows how to brighten the room.

Meet Ringo 🎶🐾

Ringo is a 3-month-old, mixed-breed puppy who’s ready to steal your heart. With his adorable stubby tail (perhaps a hint of Corgi in his band?), Ringo is as charming as his namesake.

This little rockstar is living in a foster home where he’s already hitting all the right notes. He’s off to a good start with potty training and is learning to walk nicely on a leash — not bad for such a young pup! Ringo is sweet, eager to please, and loves being around people. He’s the kind of puppy who will happily be your loyal bandmate through walks, playtime, and cuddle sessions.

If you’re looking for a pup who’s full of love and good vibes, Ringo is ready to help you come together and make beautiful music. 💛

✨ New Year, New Life Initiative! (link to donate posted below) ✨
As you may have seen earlier, we just received the news that we are being awarded a $50,000 matching grant from the Foxwynd Foundation Donor Advised Funds! This unique grant enables us to DOUBLE the projected impact through it's matching opportunity. Now we need your assistance! In order for us to unlock the full potential of this grant, we need to raise $50,000 to be matched. We know this is monumental, but last year the Foxwynd Foundation DAF presented us with a $35,000 matching grant and we raised those funds in a matter of days to create a $70,000 medical support fund for animals urgently needing support. That grant supported 57 critical animals and dozens more with the equipment that was purchased to support our operations.

We are reaching out to our donors and beyond to help raise funds for the critical animals that need our assistance in 2026. This grant is multifaceted and provides funding for five MAJOR pillars for our organization, including Emergency Medical Care, Equipment, Feed & Grain, Vaccines & Medicals, and Routine Spay/Neuter Surgeries.

$10,000 DOUBLED TO $20,000 for Emergency Medical Care: These funds support urgent hospitalization, surgery, and critical treatments for animals arriving from owners or shelter partners, like ACCT Philly. Many of these animals require immediate intervention, dedicated funding ensures treatment without delay.

$15,600 DOUBLED TO $31,200 for Equipment Purchase: This allocation will replace our aging John Deere Gator, a vital piece of equipment used daily to transport hay, grain, and supplies while also supporting daily cleaning and farm maintenance. With 50–70 equines and farm animals, reliable equipment is essential. Our current Gator breaks down frequently, slowing operations and increasing the physical strain on staff and volunteers. A new Gator will significantly improve efficiency, safety, and productivity. If we receive the full matching funds, we will evaluate what other equipment our facility needs to replace to assist more animals in need.

$15,000 DOUBLED TO $30,000 for Hay and Grain: As we enter the winter months, maintaining a full supply of hay and grain becomes increasingly important. Hay is the primary source of nutrition for equine and barnyard animals, providing warmth through digestion. This funding ensures our feed rooms remain fully stocked so we can provide continuous, high-quality nutrition.

$4,400 DOUBLED TO $8,800 for Vaccines and Medications: Every animal entering our care receives core vaccines and any necessary medications for illness. Most require 2–4 vaccines at intake, making this support crucial for protecting health and preventing the spread of disease.

$5,000 DOUBLED TO $10,000 Spay and Neuter Surgeries: Nearly 80% of the cats and dogs we take in need spay or neuter procedures prior to adoption. This funding improves their long-term health.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Foxwynd Foundation Awards $50,000 Grant to Last Chance Ranch Animal Rescue
Quakertown, PA — Last Chance Ranch Animal Rescue (LCR) has received a $50,000 grant to support its lifesaving programs for animals in need. This is the second grant awarded to LCR, following a successful $35,000 grant in 2024 that directly supported medical care and equipment for critically ill animals.

The 2026 grant will fund key initiatives essential to LCR’s operations, including:

• Emergency Medical Care ($10,000): Hospitalization, surgery, and treatments for animals arriving from owners or partner shelters.
• Equipment Purchases ($15,600): Replacement of an aging John Deere Gator to support daily farm operations and improve safety and efficiency.
• Hay and Grain ($15,000): Ensuring proper nutrition and warmth for equines and barnyard animals through the winter months.
• Vaccines and Medications ($4,400): Covering core vaccines and treatments for animals entering care.
• Spay and Neuter Surgeries ($5,000): Supporting procedures for dogs and cats to improve long-term health and adoption outcomes.

“This grant reflects our ongoing partnership with Last Chance Ranch and supports their mission to provide urgent care and stability for animals in need,” said Pamela Villagra, Executive Director of Foxwynd Foundation. “We are proud to continue supporting their work and to help enhance the health and well-being of the animals in their care.”

The grant was awarded through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) of the Foxwynd Foundation, which supports organizations aligned with the Foundation’s mission to enhance key pillars of human dignity and potential, including healthcare, housing, and sustainable initiatives.
