UPDATE on Maddox!

This gorgeous boy is out of the hospital, getting fresh air, stretching his legs, he is still on his inhaler and antibiotics but making great progress! We are so thankful that this boy has a future due to all of the generous donations, shares and prayers you have have provided him with. He is going to do amazing things! He gets to see the ferrier on Monday and only has a few days left on antibiotics! We should be in the clear for this sweet boy but will have to have a recheck/clearing from the vet to confirm!

Update on Mr. Bond aka 007

He is loving and living his best life! All he has to do here is eat, drink and heal and he completely understands the assignment! Doesn’t he look amazing?! I don’t know how this boy eats as much as he does, but he sure handles it! He is the absolute biggest lover boy, he demands all the lovins and we comply!

*UPDATE *
Mr. Maddox’s Day 6 in the hospital.

Maddox no longer has his port in and he received his first breathing treatment of many for the week. He’s getting 1 two times a day for 3 days, then 1 a day for 3 days. We are hoping this helps him breathe a ton better! This inhaler costs $350 on top of his $225 daily hospital cost with all the medications he’s on. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and amazingly helpful to help get this boy through the fight of his life for his life! He is making improvements daily, this boy is a fighter!

LATEST UPDATE on Mr. Maddox

This morning the vet re-ran his CBC and SAA levels as well as performed another Ultrasound to check on any progress made with this sweet baby boy. The results showed that we are making some progress in the right direction, however we are still not in the clear. His abscesses on his lungs have cleared, however he still has comet tails present in his lungs. We also found that there is no more liquid in his thorax which is all wonderful news. The unfortunate part is that the vet is saying that poor Maddox is still breathing way too hard and therefore ordered him an inhaler to hopefully open up his lungs to give him a break and take a deep breath! This boy has lost a lot of weight as he is exerting a lot of energy just trying to breathe. This boy is a fighter and we are trying our hardest along side of him to give him all the support he deserves and needs to pull through! His vet bill increases by a minimum of $225 a day (today was a lot more being that they re-ran all the tests). *Update*

This Boy is so strong and had an extreme will to live!
He is not out of the woods & has a long hard battle to fight still BUT he has been eating & drinking which gives us so much hope ❤️🙏

“He was so unbelievably sick.
Ultrasound definitely shows a lot of comet tails in the lungs and we have some abscess. But the medication we have him on seems to be helping. His appetite is amazing. He's drinking well. So that all pleases me. We're just gonna have to continue with medication for a while and see what we can get done.
SAA is high. 685. TP and globs are high. All goes with infection and inflammation. We have a list of medications. He is on every day. Lactate was a little bit high, but that's because of dehydration. Fluids have been on board. He's actually doing pretty well. Considering. But he does have a long road in front of him.”

This sweet boy, Maddox is in need of help! He is currently off of the kill lot and is in the hospital getting the treatment he requires to pull through this. Mr. Bond made it home! He’s pretty drawn up after his 25 hr. haul. But we are going to do everything to get him back to health. His only job is to eat, drink and heal! He sure is a ridiculously sweet boy! He just craves all his lovins!!

Mr. Bond started eating and his appetite increases daily, thank you Jesus! He has however, endured some pretty bad, wet weather in Oklahoma. This is absolutely not good for his pneumonia! Meet 007 aka Mr. Bond. We just took this amazing baby boy on, he’s not a baby (20yrs) but he is fragile! He is at minimum 200lbs underweight! His hooves were 2” too long giving him duck bill feet and had 2 layers of false sole, meaning his feet had separated twice since the last time he had been trimmed. He had a fractured tooth and a loose tooth, both infected and therefore they have both been removed, he has ringbone on his front left Pastern, and arthritis in his front right knee. After doing an ultrasound on his abdomen, we found an abscess in his lower left side lung and 2 abcesses on his lower right side lung indicating pneumonia. This sweet boy looks to be someone’s retired reigner who was once loved and gave his all to his person just to be dumped off at a kill lot in this condition! It’s absolutely heartbreaking!! This boy is wracking up some vet bills and will require more as he needs a recheck in 12 days with another CBC and ultrasound. He requires intramuscular antibiotic injections to be administered every 4 days, a mouth rinse daily, butte for pain relief and a specialty diet to bring him back to good health. Our most recent hurdle is getting him to eat! If any of you feel inclined to help this sweet boy on his road to recovery, it would be much appreciated! He’s an absolute doll baby who deserves a soft landing and a forever safe retirement which he will receive with us here at our home. Prayers are also welcomed as we all know who our true healer is! 🙏🏻

The day came where Baby Neziah went on to his forever home! He found an amazing family that promises updates and first right of refusal. He’s not very far from here either and can visit anytime! Thank you everyone for all of your prayers and support for him to get to this point so he can now go out and live his best life with his new family!

** UPDATE **

Facebook deleted my whole post. 😡 Anyway, I have an update on the three week old foal. He was rescued by a rescue along with two others. They did ship their mamas to slaughter 😢. Why they were separated is beyond me and absolutely breaks my heart 💔. That being said, I would like to thank you all for reaching out and entrusting me so much to help me help these sweet babies. It really does mean the world to me. I added the picture of the rescue who stepped up for these babies. I do not know this rescue and am in no way affiliated with them, but should you feel inclined to help them out, please do so as they just committed themselves to a huge financial undertaking.

Baby Zeke got a bath yesterday!! He’s finally getting his growth spurt on! We had to geld him so young due to his hernia surgery, it definitely delayed his growth. He’s starting to catch up now!

Here is baby Zeke playing with a few of his friends last night before dinner! These are our 1-2 year old rescues together! Can you believe baby Zeke is 2 YEARS OLD NOW?!?

**Baby Neziah update** Baby Neziah is now 7.5 weeks old and doing amazing! We have had to have the Vet out here a couple of times as he for some reason just kept having diarrhea. He did spike a fever one evening as well, but we were able to reduce and overcome that pretty quickly. We had CBCs done and had other values checked and everything continuously came out within regular ranges. Therefore, we decided to take him off of Mares match formula and put him on the Mares match transitional pellets instead. This seems to help quite a bit. He is eating his alfalfa hay and Bermuda hay very well and drinks a ton of water. He is finally not as defensive with humans. He has had to overcome a major emotional issue as he clearly was not imprinted, then stuck in an isolated stall at the hospital and the only interaction with him there was poking and probing, then transported for a whole 24 hrs as we took our time with it, then the vet was here the very next day sticking him. We also had to continue poking him every other day for an additional week to administer his antibiotic injection from the infection he obtained in utero. So his first 2 weeks of life made him extremely defensive. Now, he will come up for hugs, scratches and pets. He will pick up all 4 of his feet, wear a halter, but we are still working on leadline training as we had to have that breakthrough first. This was him this morning after getting new bedding. He literally tries to swim in his shavings. He sure is a happy healthy boy now!!
