โ€œWhile we do not accept owner surrenders, if you are seeking to surrender a dog, we recommend taking them to the county animal control in your area. Thatโ€™s where we source all our dogs, with the goal of saving as many lives as possible.โ€
Central Arizona Animal Rescue serves the community by rescuing, caring for, rehabilitating, and placing animals with new owners. Our commitment to spaying or neut

ering adopted animals helps break the cycle of unwanted pets, and promote the yearly vaccinations that contributes to disease prevention and the well-being of the animals.

We still have this girl available for adoption. We did find out she is afraid of small children but great with other dogs. So we need to find a home without small kids for her. E-mail us at [email protected] to set up an appointment to meet her!

Mike attended the ribbon cutting ceremony at the newly constructed Pinal County Animal Control facility. Central Arizona Animal Control was mentioned as one of the essential partners for consistently pulling a large amount of dogs for rescue. The new building is impressive. New surgical suite, isolation room for parvo infections, new cat rooms, meet and greet rooms are a few of the new additions.

LETTIE

Lettie is one year old this month. She is a lab/GSD mix about 50 lbs, is spayed, shots up to date and microchipped. Hard to believe she has not found her forever home. She came from Yuma and is one of the semi feral puppies they found roaming. She has done well at CAAR, rooming with other dogs.

One of our volunteers took her home last week. Lettie is now walking on a leash without fear, is house trained, dog and people friendly and is gentle and curious about the cats. Her energy for a young dog is easy going. She rarely barks and is the most mellow and is very polite. Stays off the furniture and is crate friendly and has her special bed in the den and watches tv. She is totally non destructive. Lettie fits in very nicely in our community.

NOTE: The volunteer had Bear, Lettieโ€™s brother over for a play date. They hadnโ€™t seen each other since Bearโ€™s adoption nine months ago. They had a blast playing and chasing. They even offered the ball to each other.

Lettie is available and will be at our upcoming adoption events. Email [email protected] to make an appointment.

Bear is one year old this month. He was adopted by a vibrant dog and nature lover. Bear was one of the semi feral puppies that Yuma Humane Society rescued. Through patience and love Bear has become playful and loves people. He is friends with a cat and is very gentle.

Note: Bear is Lettieโ€™s littermate. Lettie is available for adoption.

Quincy was picked up as a stray, running as a stray in the Dillard's parking lot in Casa Grande. So we don't have any background information on him. We got him fixed and microchipped, so he is ready to find his new home. He is a snuggle bug and good with other dogs, so he is going to make an awesome new member to somebody's family! E-mail us at [email protected] to set up an appointment to meet him. Be quick, he won't be available for long and we adopt on a first come first served basis

Hi There!
My name is Tanner and Iโ€™m a cheerful 1-year-old bundle of joy and energy excitedly searching for my forever home! Iโ€™m likely a delightful mix of Australian shepherd and Labrador which makes me the perfect combination of playful and affectionate!
Hereโ€™s what you should know about me
First I have a lot of personality, I absolutely adore snuggling and being the shining star of attention. Whether it's exciting playtime with my furry friends or cozy quiet moments with my humans I'm always ready to be your loyal companion and fill your days with joy!
Second is I have a playful nature. I have a quirky habit of nipping at heels when I play just like my Aussie relatives. It's all in good fun and brings so much joy.
Thirdly is my size. I am a compact package of about 20-25 pounds and won't get much bigger so I'm perfect for cozy homes where love abounds.
Forth is I am healthy. I am neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped, ready for all the adventures that await us
Lastly is my home behavior. I am fantastic with both kids and adults, I have even attended a couple of adoption events and I was a superstar at each one. I even had a sleepover with one of my volunteer friends and I didn't even have an accidents inside the house. I quickly learned how to use the doggie door. I am still working on my leash manners but with a bit of practice I will have it down in no time
If youโ€™re searching for a delightful treat-loving snuggle buddy who wonโ€™t bark much and is ready to fill your home with happiness look no further! I canโ€™t wait to shower you with love and joy. Letโ€™s meet up! You can easily set up an appointment by emailing Mike at [email protected]. Iโ€™m so excited to find my forever family!
Wags and kisses

Another PUPDATE on STELLA ( formerly Emma)

โ€œI wanted to send you another year update on STELLA. She is now two years old! Stella is doing great. She is still ball obsessed. A few months ago we rescued another female Malinois that just turned a year. These two girls are non-stop and obsessed with each other.โ€

โ€œHappy New Year to you all and thanks for all you do.โ€
