I have had multiple people ask me about my PVC false shafts/travois and this link has the article and diagram for the two styles I've used. The roller is a cheaper option. The tires cost a little more, but I like how they more efficiently move with the horse.

Joe of Diamond Joe's Animal Sanctuary (a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization) https://www.diamondjoesanimalsanctuary.org modeled for my video on bridling sensitive horses. This will be a part of my driving training course that will eventually cover everything from introducing equipment to the first hooks in the cart.

The video is both on my YouTube channel:

I have been working with this mare for a while now. She's a wild-caught mustang, and we've been slowly building up her ability to make her handleable. Feet have been a bit thing with this mare. We're making progress, and one of the things I've worked up to doing is being able to use the rasp on her feet while they are on the ground. I was able to use the side of the rasp to create divots on the wall to encourage the hoof to break at certain points, and you can see the result of that on her left foot here. I was quite excited to see the fruit of all the work to get to this point. Today it took some negotiation, but I was able to get some knotches on the right hoof (not as easy to see in this picture as I hoped). With any luck, next week will see her right foot looking as good as the left!

DaVinci did two weeks of "bootcamp" to get him into a consistent work routine and see how it helped him settle out. He got to work in the arena and out with company and solo. Today we ended with almost two hours in the mountains and after the first 30 minutes of "what is this place?" he really settled in and tackled the terrain and traffic (pedestrian and bicycle) really well.

He goes home today and we'll see how we can bring him and his owner together moving forward.
