As 2024 draws to a close, I am reminded of all the special animals and special people we were blessed to encounter.
We directly helped over 100 families say Goodbye and while these moments are difficult, we are thankful to be able to walk beside you. ππΎπ

Coyote Chorus
This time of year Coyotes get more active and can act more assertive, so pets can be at risk even in more urban settings. This video was taken in a busy neighborhood just south of Harrison in Quincy.
Hospice Care is one of our main focuses, because silver faces are simply the best. ππΎ We work with families to help provide quality time in a variety of health situations.

Happiness is... a peaceful pointer. ππΎ What makes your heart happy today?
Good Morning from Grigio! π I thought Iβd share a memory from exactly 3 years ago when the humans thought it would be a good idea to get another dog. π Well, I guess Roxanne turned out OK, but the gates are kept up to prevent any funny business. The office is closed for the rest of the week, but Iβll keep you posted here with any feline funnies. π G πΎ
Boss Cat πΉ
Grigio is here to help remind our Paws at Home friends that next week is Thanksgiving and our office will only be offering limited services until noon on Wednesday. Our office will be completely closed Wednesday through the weekend so our staff can have some well-deserved rest. ***As a reminder- we are an appointment only housecall service and do not offer emergency services. Scheduling appointments is particularly important at this time so we can insure everyoneβs health and safety. ***
Becky and her family have been busy making homemade food puzzle toys for their cat Asti to keep him interested and playing. He wasnβt so sure about this one, but check out the winning toys in our follow up post!!! ππΈπΎ
Kittens!
Hey guys! Melody here. Fun fact - Dr. Kristin and I became friends about 10 years ago when we both worked at the Quincy Humane Society (QHS).
Because of the recent "shelter in place" order, QHS asked for emergency foster homes to help clear out the shelter. My family now has 6 kittens hanging out in our home, waiting for their forever homes! If you are thinking about adding a kitten to your family, let me know! Stay tuned for more fun videos/pictures!
We have 5 little boys and the grey tabby is a female. :) Please share!
Secret Life of Pets is extremely exciting for our girl Artemis! We have to monitor her screen time, so she won't hyperventilate!!! ππΆ William A. Spear
Our girl, Artemis, loves to eat. The video shows her working on supper in a puzzle feeder. There are many styles of puzzle feeders and they encourage play, stimulate brain activity, and quite possibly get dogs (& cats)to chew their food instead of inhaling it.
