Lazy Leos

Lazy Leos Our Leo's aren't really lazy. They just get to enjoy the best environments that can be provided to them to keep everyone in the best condition possible.

Some breeders prefer Tupperware to keep leos in, but we use tanks to keep everyone stress-free! We are a small private breeder of leopard geckos in Central New Jersey. Our goal is to provide beautiful, healthy geckos. Our current colony features Enigmatic, Rainwater Albino, Jungle Snow, Mack Snow, Murphy Patternless and Sunglow Leopard Geckos. :] (Possible Novas in our near future!!!)

Our newly h

atched leos are fed a diet of gut-loaded mealworms dusted with rep-cal and calcium plus. Our adults are fed a variety of dusted mealworms, crickets, and the occasional waxworm. We acquired our Leopard Geckos from various reputable breeders to bring you the quality geckos that we wanted ourselves. Come February our available geckos will be updated frequently with new animals, so be sure to visit often. We can't wait to share our love of these amazing little critters with our friends and family!

We run a rescue as well. Check out our Indiegogo page!

We take in Leopard Geckos that would otherwise be put down (Yes, this happens to reptiles too) or aren't wanted anymore by their owners.

Leo Fact #9

Leopard geckos are nocturnal, keeping out of the heat during the day, emerging at night from holes and crevices to hunt
for food!

Leo Fact #8

Leopard Geckos absorb heat through their belly. Most chain pet-stores will suggest buying a heat lamp but this will not aid proper digestion. Do your leo a favor and buy an under tank heater!

Leo Fact #7

Nearly all geckos have a voice, leopard geckos have a small "bark" they use if agitated.

Leo Fact #6

A leopard geckos s*x is determined by their incubation temperature. At 90° F, virtually all the eggs are male; near 80° F, most of the eggs will be female!

Leo Fact #5

Most pet stores advise using sand or moss, but this will cause impaction which can be fatal to your leopard gecko! The
safest most popular substrate to use is actually paper towels!

Leo Fact #4
&Katherine :p

After shedding, leopard geckos actually eat their own skin. It's a defense mechanism that keeps potential predators
unaware of their presence, and it's also an excellent source of minerals. (Leopard Geckos are master recyclers!)

Leo Fact #3

Leopard Geckos are defaecatorial. Meaning that they will choose a specific spot to defacate in nearly every time! Almost
like a cat with a litter box. This makes them easier to clean up after!

Only three of our females will be ready to breed in February. The other girls have quite a bit of weight to gain before they're ready. But we're very excited to see what their morphs add!
