Good afternoon everyone-is anyone interested in doing some chatting here about your projects? Or want to show off what you’ve done? I think it’s time to show off your bead merriment❣️🥳

04/30/2020

Last night’s’ beading project. Please post what y’all have been working on-it will give us cheer and something to brag about. 🤓😽

03/02/2020

Just as a wonderful reminder, as I sit and look out the window at this gorgeous day of sunshine and daffodils....this Thursday we will meet at the Parkwood Association Community Center. That’s March 5th at 6:45pm. Bring any project that you are currently working on or something that you want to finish, or anything that you might have questions about-we’re all here to help each other.
Also, think about what you might want to tackle this year....love to hear your ideas!!

I’m including a post of the local fish frys around our area, just in case y’all have a hankerin’ for some fish ;-)
For those wanting/loving a good fish fry, as promised from last year, here are this year’s fish fry dates and locations:
Friday, March 6 at Holy Cross-2438 South Alston Avenue
Friday, March 13 at Immaculate Conception-810 West Chapel Hill Street
Friday, March 20 at Holy Infant-5000 Southpark Drive
Friday, March 27 at Holy Infant-5000 Southpark Drive
Friday, April 3 at Immaculate Conception-810 West Chapel Hill Street
All of these locations are in Durham.
All of them are from 4:30-7pm
All have drive through service available
The menu is:
Fried Fish (very good and it doesn’t taste ‘fishy’)
French Fires (for those who don’t like hush puppies-really?)
Homemade Cole Slaw (and it’s not too mayonaisy)
Homemade Mac & Cheese (not too dry-good baked cheese)
Hush Puppies (with the right amount/hint of garlic)
Lemonade/Sweet Ice Tea/Water
Assorted Homemade Desserts (depends on which place you go to-anything from cookies to cakes to pies)
All of this for just $10 They do take credit cards. And, yes, it’s all you care to eat! You can even take home what you don’t eat!

Look forward to seeing y’all on Thursday1
Many Beaded Smiles,
Ann Marie

Isn’t this gorgeous fall weather absolutely the best?! Hope you had a fantastic weekend, enjoyed the extra hour of sleep and will be ready to explore or continue the fun of beading around a cabochon this Thursday night.
So, I’m anticipating that y'all are planning to come to our November 7th Meeting (the first Thursday of every month) here in Durham! We will meet at the Parkwood Homeowners Association office at 6:45pm.
1417 Seaton Road, Durham, NC 27713
https://goo.gl/maps/McK6BHoZdx42

The supplies that y’all need to bring to this meeting are;
Fire line or beading thread
Size 10 or 12 beading needle
Glue- E 6000 or craft glue
Cabochon, round or oval
11/0 beads to match or complement cab color
15/0 beads to tighten bezel
Scissors to trim Lacey Stiff Stuff
After the completed bezel you can add other beads etc. around the cab
8/0 or 11/0 beads to finish outer edge after suede has been glued.

Kathy will supply the Lacey Stiff Stuff and suede backing. She will also bring copies of her original lesson for the completed work.

***Remember that we are planning to do our usual gift exchange ‘bracelet add-on’ present/project. That's where you build a bracelet base, then we exchange the base with a secret someone, and they build onto it. If you were not able to come to last month’s meeting, and you would still like to participate in the bracelet exchange, please bring your blank bracelet to Thursday’s meeting. Then, at the December meeting, you will receive it back at our Christmas party. Wow! Time has really flown by.

Looking forward to seeing y’all on Thursday! Please RSVP so I will know how many to expect :-)
And enjoy the sunshine that this glorious fall weather brings ;-)

Beaded Smiles,

Ann Marie

If you are unable to attend the October meeting, please make arrangements to give your base bracelet to someone who will be there. So that they can do the exchange for you. Then, at the December meeting, you will receive it back at our Christmas party. Wow! Time has really flown by.

Looking forward to seeing you October 3rd. Please RSVP so I will know how many to expect :-)

August 1st Meeting of the Triangle Bead Society

Hope y'all are planning to come to our August 1st Meeting (this Thursday) here in Durham!
We will meet at the Parkwood Homeowners Association office at 6:45pm.
1417 Seaton Road, Durham, NC 27713

Well, I hope that y’all are as excited as I am about getting together so that we can all try our hand at an easier, and clean version of a Right-Angle Weave Bracelet on Thursday, August 1st. I’ve included the directions below, so, please bring your tablet or a printed copy of the directions for Thursday night. The other 2 options are, if you are having trouble with any particular chain/rope necklace, maybe we can help you figure it out. You know how beaders love a challenge! Or, if you are like me, and you missed the June gathering, I will be learning the project that Emily had provided for us.

Kathy has graciously agreed to guide us through, in September, on how to create a bezel around a gemstone. We will discuss the logistics for this project at the August meeting.

I would like for you to come with ideas on Thursday, for our upcoming meetings-October, November & the Christmas/Holiday gathering in December. We will discuss all possible plans, and, if we need to finalize anything further, we will do that at the September/October meetings. We can do our usual gift exchange and/or a bracelet add on exchange. That's where you build a bracelet base, then we exchange the base with someone, and they build onto it and you receive it back at our Christmas party. Wow! Time sure has really flown by.

Remember, that since this is a Parkwood sponsored group gathering, and is open to everyone, there are no room fees or dues.

Looking forward to seeing you there. Please RSVP so I will know how many to expect :-)

Beaded Smiles,
Ann Marie
