“Puddle” from Singing in the Rain litter is 10 weeks old, vet checked, vaxed, microchipped and available!

Puddle is charting for be 7-8lbs full grown which is perfect for families and/or anyone who wants a more substantial companion. He is extremely playful, affectionate, and is not overly vocal (doesn’t bark as much as some) if that is a factor in your chihuahua puppy search.

His parents are cleared of any genetic diseases and are cleared as normal with the OFA.

Champion and Grand Champion pointed Fiddlefigg’s Holiday “Figg” did wonderful at the 148th show at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center alongside a beautiful lineup of chihuahuas. Breeder Judge Joao Machado was such a fun judge to show for because it was clear he was enjoying his assignment and the group exhibited today. Westminster is always a great experience and 2024 was no exception.

“Witherspoon,” from Howl ‘bout that N.C. State is very likely one of the most perfect puppies Fiddlefigg has produced thus far (the health, conformation, and temperament of Figg and Bellamy is beyond excellent).

She is charting for a perfect pocket size of 4-4.5lbs and based off her puppy coat, and grown relatives, I believe she will have a beautifully lush adult coat.

I also think Miss Witherspoon has a certain star quality about her and I *cannot* wait to see her personality blossom over the next few weeks. She is currently 3.5 weeks old.

I love the endless variations the merle gene produces and she is just one more example of that variety I love so much.

⚠️ It's that time again! 🚧

I really hate to give any airtime to frauds but I also think everyone should be informed and aware so that you can recognize a scam when you see one and/or help a friend or relative.

Without having to read the full post, the most important piece of advice I can give is to use https://marketplace.akc.org/ as your main source when searching for a puppy.

Do not begin your search on Facebook or Instagram.

❌ Active fraudulent accounts include but are not limited to: ❌

1. Kimberly Rossell, individual. This person seems to have replaced Marcel Dunladi as admin of a public private group (you have to request to join) called Fiddlefigg Chihuahuas with 3.2K members.

2. A public private *group* using "Fiddlefigg Chihuahuas" as their name with a photo of breeder Christin Hardy versus the copyrighted Fiddlefigg logo. Note: you are reading this post on Fiddlefigg AKC Chihuahuas business *page*. The fraudulent account is a *group* that will ask you to join.

❌ New techniques ❌

This is for breeders: Scammers are now approaching the breeders they are scamming and claiming to be a victim. They will demand you refund them. Obviously, do not do that and I recommend reporting those accounts for fraud. Screenshots from this interaction have a white background and are below.

❌ Red flag reminders ❌

A real breeder will never, ever, ever, ever ask for money over Facebook Messenger or any other texting based platform.

A real breeder will conduct themselves as professionally and will not repeatedly ask you to send money.

If you are looking for a puppy from a breeder I recommend visiting https://marketplace.akc.org/. Find a breeder you like and ask if they have a website or social media and then engage on social platforms.

Note the incorrect spellings, pushy sales tactics, and repeatedly saying, “do you understand me [insert name].” These are classic behaviors of a fraudulent person trying to run a scam.

Figg is the little chihuahua that could!! He is an AKC conformation champion but he’s also my personal heart champion and I love being able to share him with the fancy and show him off—he’s one of a kind ❤️

We are so excited to be returning to the purple and gold carpet this May and cannot wait to celebrate the joy of dogs with our friends! What a treat!

“Puddle” from Singing in the Rain litter is a long coat blue and tan with white markings male from Fable x Whittaker.

He is almost 4 weeks old and this past week started walking, wagging his tail, vocalizing and playing! It’s too early to tell much about his personality but both parents are friendly with people and animals, and both parents LOVE rough housing and retrieving (mostly 😂) their toys in fetch! If you’re looking for an all-wheel drive chihuahua to go on trails and hang with the family my prediction is this little guy may be a good fit. Time will tell!

Fable and Whittaker have been health tested, clear of any genetic diseases, and cleared as normal with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. All info is on the website with their profiles.

🚩 What you can do to avoid being scammed 🚩

✅ Visit https://marketplace.akc.org/. Search for puppies, look at the breeder’s page and THEN seek them out on social.

The only way a person can register a litter on AKC Marketplace is if they are the registered owner of a litter. I’m sure there are still scammers but much less than on Facebook.

✅ Scammers are hitting people up for $350-$800. Price will be one of the biggest red flags with scams.

It is expensive as $!?*% to build a breeding program (you can’t have a program with just two dogs and you have to BUY all of them), health test, show, raise puppies, manage a website, social, and aaaaaall the extras that come with the responsibility of having dogs.

You will not, I repeat, you will NOT find a puppy from a reputable and professional breeder for any three digit number! It just doesn’t make sense. That price range is what to expect for retired adults.

“Fiyero,” is vet checked, vaxxed, microchipped, turns 8 weeks old tomorrow and will be ready to go home the next week! The last photo is of Figg, his dad, around the same age.

Nae and Figg have been health tested (eyes, heart, knees) and passes as normal as well as tested for, and clear, of any genetic diseases.
