Listen to that heartbeat!!! We are officially on puppy watch for Jasper. Today is day 60 of her pregnancy. We monitor heart rates and mamas temperature to assure that we are prepared to welcome new life safely for mama and the baby. This litter is booked for now. But, there could be a bonus baby or two. Stay tuned!!!
And so it begins. Our Gia x Jake litter at 6 weeks old have started to spend time in crates with the doors closed. They have had access to a crate with an open door for a while now, and they often nap as a group in the larger one. This time, they were with a littermate, with a chew bone, in a crate with a closed door. They spent 30 minutes in a closed door crate. Andā¦ it was a big success! Notice the noiseā¦ or lack of noise, I should say! By having a treat to enjoy, they learn that something good happens every time they enter. By the time they come home to you, they will be comfortable in a crate for a morning and afternoon nap, by themselves. Crate training gives you a head start on sleeping through the night, and also sets the start for the all important potty training. We are raising your new best friend! We have availability for a male in this litter. Send us a DM for details on getting the process started. These pups will be in the 60+ pound range as adults. #raisingyournewbestfriend #theluckydoods #doodlesofinsta #australianlabradoodlebreeder #puppyoftheday #dogsofinstagram #doodlesofinstagram #labradoodlenation #dogsofinsta #labradoodlelovers #standardlabradoodles #australianlabradoodlepuppy #gooddog #walamemberbreeder #labradoodlesofnc #ofachic #australianlabradoodlepuppy
We love to take our pups on field trips! Emma had a great time learning about Halloween. She was much more interested in the people than the props. Such a smart, settled girl. She is in our puppy preschool, learning the basics, getting out to visit new places, and having a great time. Emma is very stable, takes new experiences in stride, and loves to explore! She is figuring out that leaving the other dogs to sit with the humans is fun! She would do well in any type of home- with children, and other dogs. Sheās available and looking for her new best friend. Are you? Reply in comments and we will give you details on how to bring her home. #raisingyournewbestfriend #theluckydoods #doodlesofinsta #australianlabradoodlebreeder #puppyoftheday #dogsofinstagram #doodlesofinstagram #labradoodlenation #dogsofinsta #labradoodlelovers #standardlabradoodles #australianlabradoodlepuppy #gooddog #walamemberbreeder #labradoodlesofnc #ofachic #australianlabradoodlepuppy

To say we are excited about this boy may be a bit of an understatement. Eli has arrived! This boy has it ALL. He has passed his preliminary health testing, and will mature to about 65-70 pounds when grown. We are so excited! Bright future for this big boy. Stay tuned! Welcome to the Lucky Dood Family Eli!
Today was a big day for our babies. They had their first introduction to crates. We put a brother/sister bunking together with a treat to chew on. They did great! In the next two weeks, pups will gradually spend longer periods in their crate, gradually working up to a morning and afternoon nap by themselves, in their crates. We do this to make sure that they are comfortable in their crate so that the first few days are a bit easier for them to adjust to their new home. One step closer to coming home to you! We have one opening for a male pup, going home the weekend of July 20th. We estimate weights for these ALDās to be an average of 65+ pounds. Interested? Send us a DM or hop on our website, LuckyDood.com. #raisingyournewbestfriend #theluckydoods #gooddog #raleigh #walabreeder
This morning, our pups had their first try at going through the doggie door to their private play yard. Iād say it was a big hit! One step closer to being ready for you! If you are looking for your new best friend, let us know in the comments. We will reach out! #raisingyournewbestfriend #walabreeder #gooddogbreeder #theluckydoods
Greetings from whelping box!!! We are growing up!! If you turn up the volume, you might hear thunderstorms. Since we donāt have the real thing available currently, today is āthunderstorm dayā. We start out quietly, and gradually turn up the volume as the pups get used to that sound. Now that their ears
are open, we run a soundtrack with various sounds that pups will be exposed to when they are home with you. Pups will be four weeks old tomorrow- so the babies have moved to larger quarters, with their potty area, fluffy beds to lay on, and new soft toys to explore. In addition to the new sounds curriculum, the four week agenda is:
1) potty pads with artificial turf- they will not only use the turf area for their potty, but this is a new texture for these babies
2) new toys at eye level- they still canāt see well, but their sense of smell will guide them to new discoveries.
3) new things to climb on and negotiate
4) mama is still nursing, but we supplement with gruel to start the transition to kibble.
We have possible openings on this litter. These pups will be true standard Multigen ALDās. 60-70 pounds when grown. They are ready for you in mid July.

Pump up the volume! Do you hear that dryer? Sunday was grooming day here for one of our adults. Notice our pups. Do they seem upset? Nope. That is because they hear all of the grooming sounds and think it is no big deal. That gorgeous coat that these dogs are known for makes regular grooming upkeep important. It is vital that your pup knows what to expect. That is why our pups not only get bathed and dried with the same equipment commercial salons use, but they are exposed to it regularly. It makes things easier for them, and for your groomer. They will thank you! If you would like to know more about the way we raise our dogs, visit our website and schedule a time to talk! Itās nap time for our toddlers! At 8 weeks of age, our puppies are comfortable in their crates for 2 hour nap times twice a day. They settle to soothing classical music, but are also comfortable napping while humans and the adult dogs go about their business around them. Soon, these babies that are not going to their homes will be in our started puppy program. What is a started puppy? Ask us! We would love to tell you! Or visit our website under our availability tab. Itās a great way to get a running start on puppy basics. #theluckydoods #doodlesofinsta #australianlabradoodlebreeder #puppyoftheday #dogsofinstagram #doodlesofinstagram #labradoodlenation #dogsofinsta #labradoodlelovers #standardlabradoodles #australianlabradoodlepuppy #gooddog #walamemberbreeder #labradoodlesofnc #ofachic #australianlabradoodlepuppy #bff #baxterandbellapuppytraining
Oh boy! Teeth are in and it is time for solid food! Mama Cass will be gradually starting to provide less of her babies nutrition over the next couple of weeks, transitioning to the close of The Milk Bar. Last call is coming!! And just like human babies, learning to eat solids is messy, but oh so fun!! They love their softened food with goats milk and kibble, but still love their mama! We have openings for this litter! Chocolate and caramel creams ready for their homes the end of May. These babies will be in the 50 pound range as adults. www.LuckyDood.com
Happy Wednesday! Tomorrow, these littles turn a month old! We are spending just a few more days in the nursery before moving to āLucky Dood Kindercareā Pups have started to get some of their teeth, and are exploring everything with their mouthsā¦ including each other. We will start gruel , their softened kibble, tomorrow. Potty trays have been introduced, and they are making great progress! We make sure that we are giving these pups plenty of new things to experience and add to a well rounded age appropriate curriculum. If you are looking for a new companion that has been given the very best start in life, give us a holler! Our link is in our bio. š. #theluckydoods
