This week's bird food brought to you by the Midtown Farmer's market! Sweet potato, okra, peppers, and squash. Topped with a rice, lentils, and quinoa combination from Harris Teeter (seasoned with tumeric, cinnamon, ginger, and a touch of garlic), and blueberries from the grocery store.

Conversations with Django.

Cage cleaning day! Some toys and perches were switched out, too. Pargo couldn't wait until M. was done to check out his new foraging perch. He had to investigate as soon as it was installed. Wood beads placed in the foraging holes were more appealing to him than the treat. He loves wooden beads.

Pargo is feeling better, and is back to chipping wood and kicking up his heels in his foraging box!

Pargo says it is so hot today, he needs to take a SECOND bath!

Happy Valentine's Day! Here is my gift to you - me singing and talking. See if you are one of the few who understand what I am saying. ;) Please ignore the human. She cannot sing well.

Wood chipper.

Pargo says this kitty litter box makes a great foraging/scratching/digging box! Maybe it should be moved to the bird supply aisle instead of with the cat supplies.

Pargo takes his remodeling projects very seriously. If he has to hang on the side of his cage to get a better angle on a wood block, he does. If he chips a piece off that could be clipped into smaller pieces, he'll climb down, pick it up again, and finish the job.
