Cold weather can be hard on pets, especially those with short fur or health conditions. To keep your pet warm and comfortable, provide a cozy indoor space, limit time outside during extreme cold, and consider using pet-friendly jackets for walks.

If your pet shows signs of discomfort, such as shivering or reluctance to go outside, it’s important to adjust their environment to protect them from the cold. Warm bedding and extra layers can help prevent health issues related to the chill.

Schedule a winter check-up with us to ensure your pet is prepared for the season.

The holiday season can be overwhelming for pets, with new visitors, loud noises, and disruptions to their normal routine. Many pets may experience anxiety, leading to behaviors like hiding, excessive barking, or destructive tendencies.

Creating a calm, quiet space for your pet to retreat to during gatherings can help alleviate some of their stress. Consider using calming aids or playing soothing music to help your pet relax during these busy times.

It might be cold outside, but your pet still needs regular exercise to stay healthy. Whether it’s brisk walks, indoor play, or fun training sessions, staying active helps prevent obesity and keeps your pet’s mind engaged.

Even short bursts of exercise can make a big difference in maintaining your pet’s fitness and preventing boredom. Consider interactive toys or creating an indoor obstacle course for days when it’s too cold to venture outside.

In the end, everyone had a good time and we all have new wall art! Cheers to all our wonderful artists. 🎄🦌🎅❄️

The holidays are a time for celebration, but they also bring potential dangers for pets. Items like tinsel, holiday plants, and chocolate can be harmful if ingested. Decorations and cords also pose risks for curious pets who may be tempted to explore.

To keep your furry friend safe, make sure hazardous items are out of reach, and remind guests to avoid feeding your pet table scraps. A little caution can go a long way in ensuring a stress-free holiday for both you and your pet.

If your pet’s skin looks dry or they’re scratching more than usual, it's time to make adjustments to their routine. Hydration and keeping up with regular grooming appointments can go a long way in keeping them comfortable.

Whoe We Are

Family owned and operated serving the greater Upland and Rancho Cucamonga area since 1954. We are open 6 days a week. Our Veterinarian is available Monday through Saturday. Sunday and major holidays we are closed.

We aim to make your visit pleasant and your pet's comfort is our main concern. We always provide estimates for services for your approval beforehand.

Our Vet, Dr. Helsted, is pleased to offer sidespays for cats. Sidespaying generally ensures quicker and smoother recovery with less likelihood of complications compared to the traditional "stomach" midline approach.

With our in house lab we can speed up test results to aid in our diagnosis of your pet. Not to mention that the internal organ function and blood concentration will be available prior to the anesthesia of your pet, which helps the Doctor making sure that your pet will be likely to make it safely through the procedure.
