Sitzes Red Gems is nestled in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We are dedicated to preserving and supporting the Old Family Red Nose (OFRN) Pitbull bloodlines. The Sitzes family has been well established and respected within the OFRN community. We intend to carry on that tradition by creating sound, beautiful dogs with an even temperament and the ability to be trained for a variety of purposes. We

have spent years meticulously choosing excellent pedigrees focusing on temperament, beauty and prey drive/sporting skills with the goal of producing dogs that can “do it all.” These are highly intelligent dogs that need a purpose with a dedicated owner willing to put in the time and training to keep them engaged. Our dogs are well suited for training in hog hunting, competition pulling, agility, showing, or service work. OFRN Pitbulls are known for their high drive and are not for everyone. However, for those willing to put in the time, training, and proper socialization, you will never own a more intelligent, loyal, and obedient companion who will adore you and your family. Our dogs are NEVER bred for fighting and will NEVER be approved to a home for that purpose. An OFRN Pitbull is a lifelong family member and should be treated as such.

Our dogs need consistent training, a job and physical outlets for their energy and drive. Great for hog dogs, competition dogs, or personal protection.

Ahsoka got a visit from litter mate brother Purrgil last night to say good bye before she leaves for Minnesota.
PSA moment!
We were very impressed at how well Purrgil's family has trained and continue to train. They actually came over after his training class. This breed, OFRN, are bred to hunt (and sadly other things in the past) and therefore have HIGH prey drive which can present as dog/other animal reactive. Purrgil's family works hard to ensure that when grown he is very well mannered and trained to at the very least just ignore other dogs to ensure everyone's happiness! They have socialized extremely well with people, crowds, and social situations. They have young children so, he's around kids that are also well mannered and treat dogs appropriately. Purrgil said "Hi" to all our dogs and frankly was more polite than ours (Calliope was Uber excited to see her puppy) He just did great! These dogs are bred to be, are, and have a long blood line from excellent hog and game dogs! However, they can be perfect family dogs too if they are trained well and consistently and have an energy outlet coupled with a thinking activity to harness the prey drive. What they are NOT is your lazy, super friendly, lovey, couch potato dog! Do your due diligence when buying this breed! Research and make sure your lifestyle, skills, and strength match the breed.
