May is as solid as they come. She has done just about everything from showing to speed events to ranch sorting. Gentle enough for our youngest students but also has a lot of get up and go when asked. She is patient, kind, and loves peppermints. She is owned by one of our boarders but we lease her for our lesson program.

Timber is our youngest horse. She is our 2nd foal we’ve raised out of our broodmare Monroe. This year she is really growing and learning to carry herself balanced. Timber is smart, athletic, inquisitive, and occasionally sassy 😆 Currently not in our lesson string but continuing her training to be one of our family’s personal performance horses.

Dunnie is our distinguished grandpa of the lesson horses but is also our son Sam’s main mount. Dunnie is patient, very kind, loves to brushed and loved on and especially enjoys teaching our youngest and newest riders the ropes of horsemanship. Introducing Scarlett Milbourn
Barn owner and lead instructor.
Scarlett has been teaching riding lessons and horsemanship for 18 years however her horse knowledge has been developed her whole life. Her mother was a top dressage and jumping instructor in the area and her father was a specialized farrier and team roper. From a very young age she loved to tag along with both parents to every horse barn, clinic, and competition absorbing knowledge and just being around horses and people. Both parents were highly skilled and had a passion for deepening their overall knowledge of horses and horse husbandry. This passion has also been deeply rooted into Scarlett. She not only loves to teach but is still very much a student and is always gaining more knowledge about different disciplines, skills and overall horse care .
Through her younger years she rode Western and English, loved jumping and racing her horses through their wooded 15 acres. After high school she worked on a local ranch conditioning horses, halter breaking and handling foals. During early adulthood she showed Western Pleasure, worked on a dude ranch as a head wrangler/instructor in Colorado, gained skills as a veterinary technician, certification in equine massage and bodywork, started competing in omoksee and barrel racing, and began starting colts and taking on outside horses to train.
Scarlett has now turned her focus to learning to rope and compete in mounted shooting. However, her passion is to teach new riders the foundational skills of horsemanship that can take them in to any discipline and focuses on balance, timing, confidence, partnership and having fun!

We offer riding lessons, horse training, and other comprehensive horse care services. Our focus is creating a safe, nurturing environment for both horses and riders, with personalized attention to each horse’s needs.
