💛 Meet Jitterbug — The Little Dog Who Danced Through Distemper 💛
When Jitterbug was a puppy, she should’ve been learning how to play and explore. Instead, she was fighting for her life. Because she wasn’t vaccinated as a pup, she contracted canine distemper — a preventable but often deadly virus that attacks a dog’s nervous system.
There’s no cure for distemper, and many dogs don’t survive. But Jitterbug did. 💪
Her fight came at a cost — she now lives with a permanent neurological tick, a constant “jitter” that never stops. It doesn’t cause her pain or slow her down, but it’s a lifelong reminder of why vaccines matter so much.
Today, Jitterbug is happy, affectionate, and full of personality. She’s great with other dogs, house trained, and adored by everyone who meets her. She’s also become a living ambassador for why preventative care saves lives.
