We are still on cloud nine from Amaya’s Best of Breed at the Basset Fauve de Bretagne National Specialty. This girl is an incredible example of the breed and we are so excited for her future when we move into the Hound Group in 2026!

The Basset Fauve de Bretagne Club of America's 2026 National Specialty will be held April 12, 2026, as part of the Peach Blossom Cluster in Perry GA. Cluster dates are April 8-12, 2026.
Also plan your trip to include the BFDBCA's first Hunting Instinct Test (HIT) which will be held nearby on Monday, April 13. No experience is needed to participate in the HIT.
This will be the first National Specialty after Fauves join the AKC Hound Group, which makes it very special indeed!

Watch for updates about the Specialty show, Hunting Instinct Test, and other activities planned for the National.

Volunteers are welcome and needed to help with planning and putting on the Specialty events. If you are interested, please email [email protected]

BEST OF BREED at the 2025 Basset Fauve de Bretagne NATIONAL SPECIALTY!!!!!

Clark went Best of Opposite S*x!! Thank you Judge Mrs. Cindy Meyer!!! I’m just speechless!! This breed truly means everything to us. To win 9/9 BOB and 8/9 BOS this week is just incredible.

Amaya we love you so much and we are so proud of you!!! She was one of the first two Fauves we imported and she made me fall in love with the breed.
