, competing in the Miss Rodeo California,INC Pageant which begins today in San Luis Obispo. This talented cowgirl has represented the Redding Rodeo with professionalism and enthusiam all year! We wholeheartdly support her quest for the Miss Rodeo California crown. A special shout out to Valley Pacific Petroleum Services and our local Tractor Supply stores for sponsoring her journey as Miss Redding Rodeo. Thank you Belinda for a great year and best of luck!

Sashelle Mitchell Crowned 2025 Miss Redding Rodeo

22-year-old Redding resident Sashelle Mitchell was crowned 2025 Miss Redding Rodeo on October 12, 2024. She demonstrated her horsemanship skills in the historic Redding Rodeo Arena after an interview with the judges. The evening competition consisted of modeling, public speaking and impromptu questions. In her free time Sashelle enjoys rodeos, gymkhanas and rodeo queen activities. She is employed with the City of Redding in Animal Regulation.
During her reign Sashelle will be riding her 12-year-old Palomino mare Honey in rodeos and parades and will make numerous appearances throughout the North State promoting the 77th Redding Rodeo which will take place on May 14 – 17, 2025.

The future of the Redding Rodeo is in your hands! For over 76 years, the Redding Rodeo has been a beloved tradition in our community, bringing together families, friends, and visitors to celebrate our rich heritage. But to keep this tradition alive for future generations, we need your support!

We’re inviting everyone in our community to join us at the Redding City Council meeting next Tuesday September 3, 2024 to show your support for securing a long-term lease for the rodeo grounds. This lease is essential for making the necessary improvements to ensure the Redding Rodeo continues to thrive.

The Redding Rodeo grounds is open for those who would like move livestock out of harms way. If you need a place to bring livestock please text 719-440-7255 with how many animals you are bringing, your name, contact information and when you expect to arrive - if you can - please text photos of the animals. You need to bring feed, buckets and other items necessary to care for the livestock. We do not have facilities for small animals only large animals. You may bring an Rv and stay with your animals - no hookups available. When you arrive you must check in at the northeast corner of the arena by the loading chutes and fill out paperwork. Please be safe and we send our thoughts and prayers to all of the first responders and those affected by this massive fire.
