This is Remi. She’s been homeless for a while, a nicer person got her safe, cleaned her up & checked for a microchip which was non-existent. Remi did not have any collar or tags. The Good Samaritan tried to find her people, and unsuccessful. Remi was not well, she was coughing, vomiting & did not look healthy when found. We stepped in to provide some urgent care & diagnostics and so far testing is negative, we are currently waiting for results of chest X-rays. Remi is eating at the vet, hoping she feels a little better. We will know more later today 🤞🏼Remi is sweet, and endearing. She just wants love. We have not testing her with any dogs yet bc for obvious reasons, we need to rule out any communicable/infectious diseases. Send your hood juju to little Remi!

Sweet is back with us, as you know. She was returned because her people decided to not to work from home anymore and she was having a problem holding her urine and being crated. Well, she doesn’t like the crate & she has anxiety in it. She was prescribed a medication called Proin, and this seems to help her urinary urgency. It’s not too pricey but still, it’s a medication that she’ll need for the rest of her life. At our vet visit that took her to, we also discovered her teeth need some cleaning. She ended up having some extractions too. We love our and Lady is no exception. She’s back on the market with some unique needs but ask ANY of her foster mom’s and they’ll tell you Lady is super chill in the house & a fun normal dog. She just needs 1 pill & someone to let her outside to potty at regular intervals, or a dog door. We asked for a work at home person, (and we’re told her previous adopters did, but that changed I guess). Lady is excellent on leash, loves to hike & run, or can be a couch potato too. She gets along great with other dogs but no cats! With Lady back in rescue we need a bit of help covering her vet bills & meds. This will definitely limit us on how many other dogs we can rescue when one comes back. And let’s be honest, we don’t have ppl lining up to adopt an adult large dog who needs medication & someone home most of the time. We hope to find that needle in a haystack out there who loves the chocolate Labrador girls & can see past Lady’s quirks. Once you’re Lady’s person, she gives you her heart♥️ Please help Lady’s journey to find her true forever home!

Puppy Zin has found his forever home ♥️ wow this was a long one & couldn’t quite figure out why this cute, submissive pup took so long to find his home? Maybe he just waited for the right family. Seriously we had no applications for him, this post pandemic environment in dog rescue is wild, and depressing. We feel like we’re in zombie land sometimes. Less helpers & more dogs in need. It just never ends. People still buying dogs from breeders and refusing to spay & neuter. Zin’s story is finally magical, it didn’t start out that way. Dumped in a literal trash bin (with his 2 sibs) in Bakersfield to fostering in Redondo Beach to finally home. He was the runt, malnourished & very shy. His story turned out well but so many don’t. Please spay and neuter your pets. Please commit to them…for life. Dogs are not disposable. Happy Tails, Zin, be a good puppy 🦮♥️

Super stoked to announce that the big boy has been adopted. This sweet family was ISO of a giant schnauzer in rescue, they didn’t think they’d find one. We were surprised too. Because we rescued a matted, kennel stressed malnourished skinny dog only to find out he was a Giant Schnauzer. Lots of reading on this breed committed to training & fostering…..Guinness is pretty high energy with a ball crazy personality. He’s good with other dogs but super obsessive with a 🎾 Dad and his family has experience training police dogs so he was aware that our boy was still a puppy & would do well with routine & more training. I think we may have manifested this family specifically for Guinness. Good luck big goofball, we think this is exactly what you needed ♥️ Happy Tails 🦮

I love getting from friends who adopted my foster pups. This one coming to you straight out of 2018… (now Daisy) is spoiledt. Her mom goes to the ends of the earth to keep her happy, healthy & safe. Even through life changes, Daisy thrives because a nice person loves & committed her. GiGi was rescued when and reached out to ask if we could help her and her dog friend (an injured eye dog). Gigi was a love & such an easy foster for me (even though I snuck her in and out of my rental $3000 a month duplex in Redondo Beach 🙄) a beautiful long legged chihuahua mix who was very graceful & calm. Fostering is so rewarding. There are times when I’m so overwhelmed, don’t quite know how to handle complex dog behavior, but there are times when I knew the perfect dog when I had them, GiGi was one of those….perfection. Thank you Caitie for loving our through thick & thin. ♥️🦮🥰

Had a surprise this weekend, a nice couple who loves rescue dogs reached out to inquire about . Buckey is my high energy foster dog who would run circles around us & excitable among other dogs. He is very smart but I am pulled in so many different directions with the other foster dogs I wasn’t able to concentrate 1:1 with him but did what I could. I’m in no way a dog trainer, I’ve had zero formal training but lucky to try and absorb the techniques I see on video or from ppl who ARE professionals. We crate trained, worked on leash train, patience/pace, and house trained in the time I fostered him & I honestly thought he’d be a long termer just bc of his higher puppy energy. My needle in a haystack came when I got this outreach from some angels who were looking for…get this…a high energy younger dog who will play. Pinching myself I’m like ok guys, let’s meet and they liked him. We introduced Buckey to their sweet pommy mix pack. I recommend they take him for a test drive (foster trial to see if they’d like to adopt), because I want them to be sure. It’s been 3 days and I’m thrilled with the feedback so far. Still punching myself & hoping we get more good news in the weeks to come. Buckey is sweet, non-aggressive, shares his toys and truly lives life in the moment. He is so not an alpha leader but he’s got a very nice demeanor and is very open to meeting new people and trying new things. Still needs confidence building to relax & looks like that’s on the menu. Man, it’s been super rough lately with a very wide donation gap, and very low inquiries for our rescue pups. Everyone is looking for perfection…well not everyone, bc I found a couple this week that were surprising. Keeping my hopes up. Working so hard for a little gain, help, & resources gets…well…exhausting. Here’s to hoping 2024 ends quickly and maybe 2025 will be a year of good things outnumbering the depressing.

is off the market. This eligible bachelor found his forever & just super lucky that he got picked by a very cool couple who are active & patient. Harold is shy at first but warms up fast & by that joyful smile on his face looks like he chose them rather than vice versa. Happy tails my sweet foster doggo. From the saddest shelter, to lovely sunny LA & some great adventures in store ☀️🐕♥️🌊 practice momma misses you so much, be a good boy.

Lady’s back, no fault of her own. Her pawrents went back to work (although they told us they work from home) but I guess things change. They would leave her in a crate for a while which she did not like. Lady would love someone who DID work at home or is retired or semi retired. Someone she can hang out with, travel with and get walks from. She likes to have free access to a secure backyard for potty breaks & she’ll be able to take herself outside. She does NOT like the crate or cats. She will def get excited to chase a cat & she’s def a bird/squirrel dog. She’s svelte & petite, she’s sweet & lazy. She loves being a couch potato or a hiking/running partner. She is 6yrs old, a chocolate who’s spayed & fully vaccinated. She loves dogs but does prefer her own home with her own peeps, big or small.
