New Rescue Alert! Speckles ❣️

Speckles came to me suddenly last week from a tough situation where the owners did not want to take him with them on their move out of the state.

Before I got him, he was in a glass serving dish, stressed and sick. Thankfully a family member reached out to me and saved this boy!

Since I've had him, he's flourished and shown no health issues. He's in a temporary hospital tank with a heater and bubbler since my betta rescue is at capacity, so I'm eager to find him his forever home soon. He has a small adoption fee of $20 that helps me keep my betta rescue going.

I will require photos and a description of your setup if you are interested. Only proper setups are considered. Please answer the following with your inquiry:
- tank size
- is the tank cycled? What are your current parameters (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite)?
- is there a heater?
- is there a filter?
- are there other fish/animals in the tank?

Puff made it to her forever home a few months ago (my first attempt at shipping a live fish!). She’s being well-loved by a knowledgeable fish enthusiast and her young daughter.

📣 ‼️ New rescue alert! *Cloud* ☁️

Sweet Cloud is mostly blind, emaciated, and suffers from fin rot. She’d been in her cup for months as people kept passing her by.

Puff (affectionately named because of how eggy this lady is) the giant Crowntail betta is looking for her forever home. She is HUGE! You know King bettas? I'd argue she's bigger than most Kings I've seen. She's a very cool, eye-catching gal.

I found her on Craigslist in a 2.5g tank with four Ramshorns. Her brown water had never once been changed, and it was ice cold. I assumed her huge belly was constipation, bloating, parasites, or some combination, but after multiple rounds of treatment, the bloating only went down partially. We figured out the rest is just the typical CT egginess, exacerbated by how huge this lady is!
Puff is a gentle giant who can actually be quite shy.

She'd do best in a 5g (10g if you can because of her sheer size) tank in a quieter part of your home. I never once saw her be aggressive towards the four Ramshorns she came with, so I bet she could do well with invertebrate tank mates. If you were to test her with other fish mates, I'd ask that you go very slowly and not put her with any aggressors.

I am willing to ship to warm climates only. Asking that adopters pay a small rehoming fee that directly supports the rescue, as well as cover expedited shipping costs (expedited to ensure Puff's best chance at successfully arriving to your home!).

Extremely eggy (possibly some bloating too) QUEEN (aka giant!!!) crowntail female rescued 01/16/2022.

Her 2.5g tank had 4 Ramshorns and the water had never been cleaned once. Her water was ice cold.

Our latest rescue, Ophelia 💜

Saved from a community tank situation (less than 15gal) with 20+ snails, 50+ tetras, and one other female betta picking on her. The tank was barren, so she had no place to hide.

She’ll need to be the only fish in her new tank, and she needs at least 5 gallons.
