Towel Update 🏝️
Fur Babies thanks each and every one of you who provided me a towel/s for my pet salon, many donations came in during my time of need. Most of you know I had a medical emergency while I had laundry going at the public mat and all my towels were gone when I made it back. So I made a cry for help to our local groups and now my towel rack is full again. I’m so grateful 🥹
🚨 if you have towels for me and I haven’t picked them up please reach out to me, I’d love to meet up. If you have towels to donate you can leave them right in front of the door at 203 W Upton Ave. We are there almost daily and have cameras.

Look at these beautiful felines, they got pampered today and did absolutely wonderful. I can do yours too. 🙋‍♀️ we do most cats with two people to ensure the best and safest cut possible. As ya know kitty cats hate grooming 9 times out of 10. We certainly don’t love them any less. 💗😻

UPDATE: Our Brothers' Keeper Shelter & First United Methodist Church in Big Rapids will be serving as 'Cooling Centers' for the rest of this week. Big Rapids Dial-A-Ride will provide free rides to these Cooling Centers for those in need.

According to Mecosta Co. Emergency Manager Patrick Maddox, If there is a need for a cooling center or water, please get in touch with Meceola Consolidated Central Dispatch Authority at 231-796-4811.

The salon has gone to the dogs 🐾🐾 and my heart is full. I want to extend a thank you to everyone who’s been hanging in there with through all the bumps and bruises along the way, we are gonna fine tune this ship and continue onward with success and a place for your fur babies to call home. Saving Red’s Rescue came to town today and picked up their food donation, also thank you to the donor for her bag of pet clothes, pads, blankets etc. they definitely will be put to good use by Madison Sowle.

Long story as short as I can 🚨 I offered a free groom and tick removal to a woman who had lost her pitbull in our small town. She took me up on that and stated her dog was “reactive” and if I had experience. I absolutely told her yes I do come on in and I’ll see what I can do!

Turns out this lady’s dog is actually willing to eat her face off as the owner. Never had I seen a dog willing to lunge at his owners face when she brought a muzzle out. Yes I got bit. Right down to the bone. I’ve suffered 4 days of no income and a little bit of pocket money on wound dressings. Thankful my insurance is covering my doctor’s visit where I got stitches. So here’s what I have to say.

Do NOT lie to me and tell me your dog is only “reactive” from being lost in the woods.

Do NOT, not disclose that your dog has bitten other people before coming into my salon. Me being the 4TH person!!! Not the 1st or the 3rd. But the 4th!

Do NOT tell me after the fact the your dog has been in a fight ring environment even if you “state” they didn’t fight as a puppy and it’s now 2 years of age and still in survival mode.

Do NOT accept an offer of my helping hand if you’re terrified of your own dog. So much so that you’re willing to take it to someone else for help that’s not a sedation vet, knowing what we all don’t know about your dog.

Also do not be so cold hearted that you decide not to reach out to me after the fact and see if I’m ok. You really hurt my feelings but you will never take away my tenacity to still want to help others, animals or human. I’ve learned my lesson to ASK more questions. Please help protect people like me with such skills. We don’t have a lot of groomers to be taken out over something that could have been prevented with better communication. 🤗🤕😁

Yes animal control in involved and I have no plans to sue. I just wanted to put my statement out so everyone asking why I closed down, why I’m rescheduling appointments and what happened to me when they see me in public, knows . That is all.

Today Fur Babies made it out to the first Reed City Farmers Market. We wanted to highlight this young man Titan who sold baked goods to be the only child out there I found with a booth all on his own. Super proud of you Mr. Clark. We also found myself an early Birthday Gift from She Rock Hunts Co. as my birthday is June 28th, just 3 weeks away if anyone wants to bring me baked goods or fruits/veggies out the gardens this month.🎂🎁🤗 ALSO my favorite vendor for the salon so far. 🥁Rock & Bowl Co. who makes carved wood bowls that can be specialized for your very own pet. Lastly I heard the most amazing sounds by Dr.Mitch Kelly using his beautiful vases. Happy Wednesday Everyone. 🤗🐶 Reed City Area Chamber Of Commerce 📈🌳☀️

Thank you to each and everyone of you who’s made it through this past week with me. I battled an infection resulting in my finger swelling up, of course in my dominant hand. I was able to move some of you and for that I’m so grateful for. And those that I was able to complete the groom, thank you for be patient with me as they weren’t my finer cuts. I also missed photos of several doggies.. I’m so sorry, it’s been a week. Lots of love though we’re getting through it. Feeling on the up now. 🐕

Had to take myself to the hospital today because my finger swelled up three days ago and hasn’t gone down. 🤣🤦‍♀️ but hey.. at least I got time to book some appointments now. 🤗
