On this snowy day, I’m posting a photo of when we had just moved to the area. I love this photo. I love the seasons of Michigan, but the winters here start to feel like they drag on and I start to wish for warm weather.

With the temperatures below zero and the wind chill potential of twenty below or lower, we are prepping our outdoor rabbit hutches. We use corrugated clear roofing material to block the wind in the winter and if needed hay and tarps bungeed to further protect them from the elements.

Rogue’s kits are now four days old, and looks like we have four lilac, two blue, and two black in the litter. She’s an exceptional mother and keeps their bellies full.

A new silver fox litter born on the coldest morning this winter (3 degrees).
Maten Acres Rogue and BH Trout gave a healthy litter of 8.
I was hoping for chocolates, but look at all those lilacs!

I’ll be holding onto this buck from Mouse/Boris pairing. He’s 12 weeks now. I plan to see how he continues to fill out and maybe he will attend some shows this spring.

Fable’s kits are 9 weeks old. A few are looking promising. I’m really liking this one. I just wish it wasn’t so heavily silvered.

It’s been about a month since I posted. I don’t mean to be absent because I do enjoy my online presence.
Everyone has their own story behind their posts. The side they don’t put out there to the world. I am not the type that shares too much. But I will be a bit transparent. I enjoy learning of others’ stories and lives, so my reason for my absence is I think my life just caught up with me.
I work part time at a fairly demanding job, I homeschool my two kids, and try and maintain our little farm and home. I have an autoimmune disease too that is not well managed at the moment. And it affects my daily life.
That being said, I think I just needed a little break. With all the politics and drama going on over the last month, I needed to step away for a bit.
So, I don’t post photos of me, ever. But, here I am and I hope to be more present moving forward friends 💜 🐰.

Thank you all verterans this Veterans Day. My husband especially.
We’ve been through a couple deployments together. One, when I was pregnant with our first son, and recently a few years ago to Afghanistan. I made a paper chain to help our kiddos count the days down. We wrote what we did or just a thought down on the chain as a way to process and document his time away. When he came back, we sold our home and started this journey.

Side note… it’s my birthday today also (I’m old).

Phaedra welcomed 7 healthy babies some time today. This is her first litter and she pulled so much fur! Good job pretty girl 💜.
