Hello to the POP, family and friends💜. This is Kim, one of the two Breeders/ sisters that share this page.
Some of you may have read from my personal page, that my father had a stroke/brain bleed. I am going to step in and start taking care of him by quitting my job and moving into his home. This puts me in a position of doing some very creative things with my breeding program females. If you are local to the Reno area and would be interested in working with me by adopting one of my females under some special circumstances, I would love to chat with you ! What is “temperament” and is it genetic?
Per the AKC, temperment, is an animals natural predisposition to react in a certain way to a stimulus. Stimuli are basically any object or event that can be detected by an animal’s senses. Examples of stimuli are sounds, smells, touches, and objects that the animal sees.

The AKC indicates that up to 60% of a dog’s temperament is genetic. Therefore, if you want to get a good indicator of how your puppy will react to stimuli, ask your breeder about the temperment of the puppies parents/ grandparents.
