Mizu has arrived! We wanted to share some photos from his 2 day journey from Hawaii to Las Vegas to Reno!
The plan is that Mizu will decompress solo tonight and then be slowly introduced into our Cat Lounge tomorrow.
Thank you to every single person involved in this transport, we will find Mizu his purrfect furever home.

The IDEXX SNAP Feline Triple Test is a blood test that screens cats for 3 diseases: feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), feline leukemia virus (FeLV), and heartworm disease. It can be performed in 10 minutes with a single sample.

If one or more of these are detected in the test, veterinarians and pet-owners are able to better care for the cat and plan for any additional needs in the future. Early diagnosis is best for all involved and that is why Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno is ensuring all cats under our care receive this test. 

Please help us ensure that these kitties are able to be properly cared for and tested by donating to our SNAP Test Fund for all incoming kitties! Our goal is $1000.

📣 ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 Beginning TODAY (June 5, 2024) at our NHS Reno Clinic, we are pleased to announce that we are now accepting spay/neuter appointments for owned cats in our community! This is an exciting step for our organization in re-opening spay/neuter services to the public 🐱🎉

Space is limited. Cost is $45.00/cat. Package includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, nail trim, and pain medications to go home. Booking online is by-appointment as a first come first serve, and spay/neuter appointments are held on Mondays and Tuesdays. Payment is due at the time of booking. Appointment slots will open the 4th Tuesday of the month for the following month.

Now the cat is fully out of the bag!

Ever since I was a very young girl, my dream was to help and be a fierce advocate for cats. I was born already having two kitty companions in the house and they were my best friends. My mom and I would always talk about building a massive shed in our backyard for any stray/lost cats in our neighborhood. I would daydream about names for these hypothetical cats and the thought of helping feline friends in need was something I felt (and still feel) very passionate about.

The time has come. We are looking forward to spreading the word about cat welfare and advocating for all cats in the Reno area.

Kitty Kisses Rescue Reno has donated the Cat Lounge space at Kitty Kisses Cat Café to Precious Paws Society of NV in order to showcase rescue cats and to facilitate adoptions through PPSNV. PPSNV is still our rescue and adoption partner at this time. While Kitty Kisses Rescue Reno does not intend to actively rescue cats at this time, we certainly will be down the road. For now, we would are dedicated to providing education and resources to create a better situation/culture/environment for all cats in Reno - whether a stray, a feral or a domestic cat, we are here to support the community and the cats in our community in every capacity.

The name “Kitty Kisses” comes from a phrase frequently uttered from my lips when loving on my fur babies, “kisses for kittens!”. All cats - no matter their health status, background, behavior, temperament, etc. - deserve love and respect and to be cared for to the fullest extent.

Well, the cat is *mostly* out of the bag!

When I bought Enchanted Cat Café, it came with the name, which I never really resonated with. We have worked hard these past couple of years to try and find stable-enough footing to be able to change our name and update our mission to be more cat-centric. We want to thank the community for the support over the last 2 and a half years, and look forward to your support for many more. This rebrand also allowed for us to start up another cat venture. More on that soon…

Options Veterinary Care has a foster program that needs help! We need fosters, but cats in our community under the care of Options do too! 🐾💕

Shares, please! 📣 We *urgently* need fosters for about 11 cats and kittens! Can you help for a few weeks or more? If so, email [email protected] to find out more and get involved!

The cats are mixed in ages, looks, and personalities. Many are more on the shy side, so socialization will be important. Most are relatively healthy. All will benefit from some TLC. If you can open your heart and home for a few weeks, YOU will make a lifesaving difference!

Options will provide guidance, support, and medical care, and placement when they are ready, whether in an adoptive home or transfer to a shelter or rescue.
