Carrie is a certified equine acuscope therapist. She offers preventive, general and rehabilitation treatment protocols. Preventative, general and rehabilitation.

Carrie customizes a treatment protocol for each of her equine patients. The protocols are based entirely on your horses individual needs, and fall into 3 categories. Preventive maintenance is done to optimize a horses performance. By enrolling your horse in a preventive maintenance program you will see increased flexibility, athletic performance and reduced recovery time after competitions or stre

nuous work. General maintenance is done when the horse has chronic conditions, history of injuries, or is in need of pain management. It will help to slow the progression of chronic conditions, and provide pain relief. Rehabilitation treatments are used to accelerate the recovery process of an acute condition or injury. Carrie will work with you, as well as your vet, to create a customized treatment plan for your horse. Acuscope can be combined with veterinary therapies as prescribed by your veterinarian, as well as chiropractic and other alternative therapies.

"Is this like acupuncture for horses?"

The philosophy of Chinese medicine is utilized. For example, we create many of our treatment regimens based on the flow of energy in the body. However, there are no needles used for treatment. We use electrodes placed on high conductive points on the horses body. Thru these electrodes, the Acuscope instrument sends a very low electrical charge, the same as naturally occurs in the body, to the cells to assist them to return to a healthy functioning level.
