Bailey has some behavioral issues and gives his family trouble when they try to keep up with his coat. He came to me severely matted, but I tried to save as much of his coat as possible! 🙌🏼 He’s also not a fan of having his picture taken 🤣

Buck 🦌

Buck is one of my personal dogs. He’s a very high anxiety Spaniel mix and everything from the clippers to the dryer sends him into an absolute meltdown. So I do the best I can with him💙 He definitely needed a spa day! 🧼

A lot of people don’t like to go this short on this type of hair coat, but this is just my personal preference with him. Since we live on a farm it keeps him cleaner and it’s easier to get burs and other debris out of his coat😁

Sometimes you have to make the decision to put the dogs health and comfort before a beautiful haircut! This handsome dude came in with some dense matting and I unfortunately could not save his coat due to the severity and had to shave him down. But now he feels way more comfortable and has a fresh start! He was such a good boy and so patient with me! 💙

Hello everyone!

If you don’t know already know me, my name is Angie Blackford. I am very new to the grooming world! I just started practicing my grooming skills on dogs (that are not my own) within the last month. I am currently a veterinary assistant at Edenwood Veterinary Clinic and have 4 years of experience in the veterinary field, along with 15+ years of raising and rescuing animals of just about every species! I foster dogs through ASAP and try to do as much as I can in my free time to help out with animals in need. I live on a hobby farm with my husband and our two children (and many of our own pets), and have set up a grooming salon at our home in Republic. I really enjoy working in the animal industry and kind of wanted to expand my horizons on my days off from the clinic with pet grooming.

I am still trying to work out a grooming schedule around my full time hours at the clinic, but should have a better idea after the first of the year! Please understand that I am still learning, so you will notice some imperfections in my work as I learn the tricks of the trade. I will attach some pictures of dogs that I have recently groomed. Because I do not consider myself a professional yet, my prices reflect that. Below is a general price list:

🛁Bath (includes nail trim & ear cleaning):
Toy/mini/small breeds - $20
Medium/large breeds - $25

✂️Full groom (includes bath, nail trim, ear cleaning & haircut):
Toy/mini/small breeds (under 20lbs) - $25
Medium breeds (20-50lbs) - $30
Large breeds (50+lbs) - $40

💨Deshedding (includes bath, blow out, brush out, nail trim & ear cleaning):
Small breeds - $30
Medium/large breeds - $40
