This incredibly handsome boy is Fabio, a 1 yr old Boston Terrier who is looking for a new forever home through no fault of his own.

Fabio lives up to his name as he is a lover like no other. He adores his people and other dogs and wants nothing more than to be your faithful companion. He likes to play and has an adorable hop when he runs. He is already house broken and leash trained.

Update on the pregnant mama ,Xena, who was saved from the abandoned property surrounded by animal skeletons. She went into labor last Sunday and struggled to birth her first pup breech. After 3 hours of nothing she was taken to the ER where they administered Pitocin but all that did was create an extra hour of agony before she was given a c-section to extract the remaining 2 pups, only one of which survived. They struggled to latch immediately and her milk was slow to come in but the good news is that all 3 are now thriving and the puppies ( one boy and one girl) have been gaining weight rapidly in the last couple days.
Mama and babies will be available for adoption in approximately 8 weeks.

Meet Minka, the pint-sized snuggle queen with a heart as big as her love for belly rubs! At about2 years old, this resilient girl is proving that a little adversity can’t dampen her spirit. Sporting chic diapers (it’s a vibe!), Minka is on a mission to restore her back leg power, all while keeping her super silly personality in full swing. She adores her humans, fluffing up her canine bed with zest, and delighting in daily playtime. Just a heads-up—she’s not a fan of teenage boys; let's just say she thinks they possess magical scary powers! She does enjoy her four legged brothers, they are not scary at all, and wants to play 24/7. Help Minka write her next chapter filled with love, joy, and a whole lot of happy tail wagging!

Minka was stepped on by a goat which resulted in a fractured spine, broken back legs and daily diaper changes. Sadly her owners thought it would heal without medical help. She will need a special foster/adopter to help massage her legs daily and with help the vets believe she will gain use of one of her back legs. With that being said, it doesn’t stop her from moving around and playing with other dogs. If you have it in your heart to take on Minka, please get in touch with us or complete a foster application.

Now available for adoption, Hei Hei and his sweet little sister, Nala.

3 month old terrier mixes, approx 4-5 pounds. They are loving, dog friendly and playful. They are hoping for their loving forever home.

Hei Hei and Nala are babies so they will need help with housebreaking and leash training but they’ve got snuggling down to a science.

Hei Hei would do best in a home with another small dog who is active and loves to play as he has a lot of energy.

They are being fostered in Northern IL and their adoption donation is $500. They have had their first set of puppy shots and are micro-chipped. Upon proof of spay/neuter when age appropriate, their adopter will receive a $150 refund.

Successful transport on Saturday delivering dogs from Texas and Northern Wisconsin safely to their foster homes.
6 little munchkins scooped out of a puppy mill, a stray sweetie from up north, and 2 special needs cases.
Minka, a 2 yr old who was stepped on by a goat, breaking pelvis, ankle, foot and hip bones. Her owners never sought treatment and when it appeared she wasn’t going to heal herself, they dropped her at a shelter to be euthanized. She will be seen by a specialist but may be crippled permanently. She gets around by scooting and is the happiest, most playful girl. Then there is Xena, a small warrior who was snatched from a hoarder house in the middle of the night, very pregnant and living amongst multiple skeletons. We expect she will deliver within the next week .. maybe sooner.
And 2 pups tonight who needed to be re-homed immediately.

This beautiful girl is Zara, a 3-4 yr old, 11 pound ShihTzu. She was moments from being left behind in a cold, filthy puppy mill but the transport co-ordinator, Cynthia Limas, just couldn’t allow that to happen.

So … here she is, breaking bread at the Richfield compound and proving there is nothing better than a bubble bath and expensive haircut to make a girl feel like a million bucks.

Fortunately , her adoption fee of $500 is way less than a million. She is vaccinated, de-wormed and micro-chipped and will be available for adoption after her spay in the next week or two.

Since she was raised in a barn she will need help with basic etiquette skills like house breaking and leash training but she has already decided being a house dog is the bomb .. treats are cool and affection is the best. Not at all skittish.

Hey Everyone, my name is Prince Christmas .. a fitting name because that’s the day my owner decided I was no longer wanted. On the other hand, it’s also the day I began my magical new life.

I no longer live by myself in a garage but with a loving foster family and several fur siblings. .. they’re very tiny, maybe Guinea pigs or Chihuahuas .. either way I’m kind and gentle with them. I love all people and get along with other dogs.

I’m a lab mix who is approximately 1.5 years old and about 80 pounds of pure happiness and love .. and not to brag, but super handsome. I’m still not sure why I was unwanted. I really work hard at being a good boy. I am housebroken and good on a leash. I love walks and rides in the car. I listen very well and am learning many new commands like ‘sit’ and ‘wait’. I’m not destructive and not a big barker but I will alert to strange noises or unusual activity.

I am being fostered in Island Lake, IL and my adoption fee is $425. I am fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and neutered .. they’re full package, 💯 ready for the next step in my journey.

Today FFS added an unexpected tagalong. This beautiful girl was being kicked out of the puppy mill because she was no longer useful. The kind hearted transport driver couldn’t bear to leave her behind so she hitched a ride north. Her breeding days are over .. now it’s time for her to learn what it’s like to be a loved and pampered pet.
She’s a bit shy but super gentle and curious. Having spent her entire life in a barn she is learning what family life is by watching holiday movies at her new foster home where she will be loved, socialized and spayed. Welcome to the real world, sweet girl .. your life is just going to keep getting better 🥰
