At Auntie El’s Doghouse, we believe crate training is an essential life skill for every dog. 🐕

On some of their toughest days—whether they’re sick, injured, or recovering—being comfortable in a crate can make all the difference.

🗃️ A crate-trained dog feels safe and secure in these moments, while a dog who isn’t may experience panic and anxiety, adding more stress to an already difficult situation.

Crates are also a part of everyday life for dogs in boarding, daycare, grooming, vet visits, and training. When a dog is already familiar with crating, these experiences are much less stressful for everyone involved.

Crate training can even help prevent dogs from ending up in shelters by reducing behaviors like digging, escaping, destructive chewing, and potty accidents—common reasons dogs are surrendered. 😔 and help a dog get adopted if they are relaxed and less stressed in a kennel yo be looked by adopters! Wouldn't it be great to have an indoor climate controlled training space to rent for personal use? You could play and train your dog without weather challenges or distractions.

Our current and past training clients are now welcome to rent our training room for personal use when we aren't using the space.

You can:

- play with toys
- let your own dogs play off leash in a room without worry of break of things.
- practice manners and behaviors
- train for class each week

The availability will vary week to week.
$20 an hour for the space. Up to 3 big dogs or 5 little dogs

This girl loves her refreshing trips to Home Depot. And they just love her there! Remember. When you have multiple dogs. Work with them Individually too. Give them some one on one time so they don’t get jealous or guarding for attention

**Why I Do What I Do**

Dogs have always been more than just animals to me—they’re family, they’re companions, and sometimes, they’re the ones who understand us best. My journey in all training, the boarding, and caring for dogs isn’t just about obedience or convenience; it’s about building trust, strengthening bonds, and making life better for both dogs and their people.

I do this because I’ve seen the transformation that comes when a scared, reactive dog learns confidence, when an overwhelmed owner finally finds peace, and when a rescued pup realizes they’re safe and loved. I do this because every dog deserves patience, structure, and kindness—and so do the people who love them.

Auntie El’s Doghouse isn’t just a business to me; it’s a place where dogs can feel at home, where training is built on understanding, and where every tail wag and happy reunion reminds me why I started.

This isn’t just a job. It’s my passion, my purpose, and my way of making the world a little better—one dog at a time.

For days. Feared everyone, people and crates particularly. But he is well behaved in crates. Loves his people and loves walks.

I’m a loud barker.
I Love to chase things that are outside by jumpin on the couch and tables, because I can’t see out the windows otherwise.
And I love people so much I have to jump on them for attention.

But with El’s help I learned to sit and be a good boy on day one.

❤️ We will see what the next four weeks brings. Can’t wait to be the bestest boy for my mom!

Welcome Gunner and Mocha to the day training program!

These two came in with a mom who needed help getting them into the shop she couldn’t do it alone and boy was she right. They both pulled and jumped and zigged and zagged and went crazy. But by the end of our two hour session I was walking both outside together on the sidekick leash and being calm with the world driving by.

Mom drove by halfway through the lesson and saw us walking on the road and she started to cry she didn’t think it was possible. She had been trying for 6 months or more to do this herself and she just needed a little help.

Boy did I give her that help and then some extra tips on how to make this work. So happy they found me and make the hour long journey here each week! Progress reports and updates to come

Back when we first started we practiced alot of sit, down, stays and here. Distractions are always going to happen it’s how you work through them together.

Training isn’t always perfect but it’s ok, reinforce go back and do it again and keep at it. Ending on good notes and keeping a level Head always.
