ISO: Unicorn boarder
Farm in Richfield, NC close to Albemarle and Salisbury
I'm a solo horse owner with no trailer and a farm too big, looking to share it with someone who will be a friend and companion to both me and my horse. Someone who is looking for a private place and that I can go trail riding with and do open shows together.
Searching for the perfect boarder to join my farm. This is a private farm and you would be the only boarder here. The ideal person would have one (max 2) horses they are looking to board in a quiet place. Only 20min or so from Uwharrie and Morrow Mountain, Cabarrus County and East Rowan Saddle Clubs.
The perfect boarder would have a truck and trailer and not mind someone joining them for open shows and trail rides. Of course, that's factored into the boarding rate and why I don't plan on charging an arm and a leg for the right person.
The perfect boarder would understand that hard work goes into running a farm and be willing to act as a team to get things accomplished for all of our horses.
Background about me: I have a going on 17 year old APHA paint mare who is semi retired but too good to let sit as a pasture ornament. She will never be for sale and I want to enjoy her company for the remaining years trail riding across NC and doing an open show here and there.
I'm not looking for a road runner, call all the shots type. I'm looking for chill, relaxed and to go ride day trips over the weekend, maybe more if we feel adventurous.
Stall and and turnout avaliable, welcome to bring your own grain, vet, farrier, whatever to keep you and your horse happy. Welcome to share who I use because they have been amazing. Can also provide trailer parking. Small grass arena to school in and 11 acres that attaches to game land. I don't mind sending updates and doing extra stuff like supplements, blankets, etc just don't go crazy about it. I have a show barn background and my horse is definitely spoiled but she's not climate controlled or under lights.
I use Rocky River Large Animal Hospital for veterinary and Shane Honeycutt for my farrier (both of them are amazing). I feed Triumph Fiber Plus and the hay I have is cut right from my own fields.
I also don't mind helping out with a project horse you might have, but not problems. I'm not offering training but teamwork makes the dream work, even if it's just recording your ride. But I'm not claiming to offer training so I'm not looking for mass destruction or personal injury to anyone.
Just putting out feelers to see if this interests anyone. Price to be discussed with the right person. Happy to answer any questions you have or send more pictures.
