Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave rescuers, working dogs, and all the loved ones lost on that tragic day. Among the many heroes were incredible K9s who worked tirelessly to save lives, provide comfort, and assist in the search and rescue efforts. 🐾❤️

Some of the heroic K9s include:

- Apollo: A German Shepherd with the NYPD, one of the first dogs on the scene.
- Trakr: A German Shepherd who found the last survivor beneath the rubble.
- Sirius: A brave bomb detection dog who tragically lost his life in the line of duty.
- Salty and Roselle: Guide dogs who led their blind owners safely down over 70 flights of stairs.

These dogs, alongside their human handlers, showed unparalleled courage and dedication. Today, we honor all the rescuers, first responders, their K9 partners, and the lives of all the loved ones lost. Your bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We will always remember and respect the memory of those we lost. 🕊️

It is snake season! Lucy and Kava have already seen one on their Badger Mountain hike! Rattlesnake vaccine is available and consists of two doses. Although the vaccine does not prevent illness from occurring after a bite, it will help your pet recover more quickly with less dangerous side effects. We reccomend the rattlesnake vaccine to all high risk patients. Call us for more information-- 509-946-4138

Friendly reminder that the weather is warming up and we want to make sure that your fluffy friends are safe in the heat.

•Please keep you pets at home while you’re out shopping. It may be 70 degrees outside, but it can easily reach 90+ degrees inside your car. They would be much happier at home where there is air conditioning.

•Make sure your pup has access to plenty of clean water throughout the day.

•If it’s to hot for you to walk barefoot on the asphalt or concrete, it’s too hot for them to walk on the asphalt or concrete. Their paws can easily burn from those long walks so keep walks short and in the nice green grass.
